hey i was reading some old forums on this site and there were alot of ideas such as: Trophy Leaderboards and Trophy Guides.
Were these shot down or what happened?
I think these would be excellent. PS3Fanboy actually sends you a $25 psn card when you submit a trophy guide, (although i think all the ones on ps3fanboy are shit).
Those ideas would definately make this site better, even though its already awesome!!

Trophy Leaderboards will not happen until Sony gives us access to their system, as it is now all current leaderboards = shit. I do not have the time or will to be bothered to check for cheaters etc.
Trophy guides would be nice to have though, but it requires some kind of prize as an incentive. And it would have to be some kind of sponsored prizes since this site atm isn't really making enough dough to afford it. Will look into it…

he speaks the truth. providing up-to-date information is hard enough. anything extra is quite hard, especially when you've got other things to do in life.
Personally, I know nothing about the admin; But I'm sure he has a personal life, and more than likely a working life too. balancing everything out is a hard task.
IF I were to offer a solution though. writing guides is something most people do usually for free, or no prize incentive because they simply want to help others do what they could. Think about it… A teacher can only teach something they've learned themselves. It is certainly possible to use the community to provide free data, information and knowledge.

the leaderboards i guess are a no, but thats fine.
i would def submit guides for free and i know other people would too. i think every1 on this site has each other on their friend list, so i would be fine doing it for free cuz every1 kinda helps each other anyway.

i guess if somebody did the core guide ,then everyone adds a little from their knowledge / experience it could work … i'm guessing it would be trophy guides , how to get the trophies for games , not so much a walkthrough .. ?

hell , some of the trophy lists already have guide-like info in the comments (i'm thinking fallout 3 , theres stuff i only found out thanks to the good people on this site,and i guess there may be more.) , also , it could feature links to some of the better stuff out there (wiki have a great map for fallout 3 , that kind of thing would be tedious to make , and theirs can't really be improved much) dunno , just putting ideas out there….

I would happily do trophy guides for free, but am not a good enough gamer 
I have 232 trophies, but no platinums.
