The way it looks to me is that the “gods” are actually aliens, or some sort of other highly intelligent sentient beings.  This is a very similar viewpoint of a popular cult known as the Raëlians.  Wikipedia it if you don't know about them, they're pretty wierd, and its pretty accurate as far as I can tell.  Its definitely an interesting concept to see in a video game.  What confuses me is how an alien or superintelligent civilization with technology that would allow them to foresee the future would be unable to prevent their own demise.  Clearly they can see the future or predict it fairly accurately, as they knew to make a temple for Ezio to find, and spoke directly to Desmond through the animus.  The only reason I'm not more pissed off about the cliff hanger is because they answered a lot of my questions… unfortunately, it also raises a lot more.  Its another way of milking the cow, and setting up for a sequel… I'm just glad that the game itself felt finished this time, and the plot setup is intriguing, unlike AC1 where it feels rushed and unfinished, and MW2 where the remaining loose ends aren't really intriguing, just annoying.  So… what caused Adam and Eve to run?  What is Desmond going to do that is so important (finding those temples, and if so, what the hell is in them? more cryptic messages?)?  What exactly is so bad about using “the apple”?  How many more pieces of eden are there (it appears theres at least 35 so far)? and where are the rest of these?  So far only one (or two?) have been located, as far as we know.  And probably most important, will the third game involve experiencing another ancestor, or will we finally just play out Desmond's role?  I suppose they could milk it more with another ancestor, but I'm also at the point where I think it'd be better to just play as Desmond, and revamp the whole gameplay style by integrating the assassin skills with guns, i.e. MGS.  They could use the excuse of needing to be “subtle” by forcing you to use guns less, so as to not completely ditch the original gameplay mechanics.  And while I know it won't happen, I really really hope that they ditch xbox, and go straight PS3/PC so we can finally see this game in the glorious graphics it deserves.  This latest installment had good graphics, but after playing U2 it just really made all facial expression and character animation seem flat and lacking in detail.

I really guess i shouldnt have read this , i beat the game but never really uncovered ” The Truth ” just yet . Now that i know this whole thing has gone biblical , i can now see those running were actually Adam and Eve , and that the actual apple is the one told in the tale of Adam and Eve and how Satan disguised himself ? The Ending was different , and it sure as hell beat watching the whole credits , as where to now atleast we can skip half of it finishing off the game . They also gave an explanation for redownloading recent memories , as in Assassins Creed 1 you beat the game and just walk around ? Werent the Templars after you ? So let me get this straight .. they make a big conclusion to get the hell out of there , and your still walking around taking your time .. no . On to Assassins Creed III , we now know Desmond was able to adapt all of Ezios moves and change them into his own fighting style ( because seeing the same moves in number three wouldve been bland ) We also arent given much of a view as too what the outside world actually looks like .. everytime you are , maybe a few buildings ? Most of the time its just a bright light covering it up . So i really hope there is a futuristic deal to the new game . Guns on the other hand , can be necessary . Maybe a sniper , a more upgraded hidden blade would also be quite intresting , for picking off guards or enemies in your way from a distance . Going to the Rumours of a WWII persective would be really dissapointing , meaning another sequel , and another cliffhanger as to when this thing will finally end !

I was thinking oh damn here we go, more religious stuff is coming through, I'd just be happy if AC3 is set in 2012, has the templars vs assassins thing going on and you play as Desmond. And if you have two hidden blades per arm. One on top and one on bottom so you use the bottom one to assassinate the top one to fight since everybody in the future seems to prefer using clubs over guns for some reason…

i'm thinking they stole the apple and as told in the game are running from the sunflare

as they have the apple they are able to survive the sunflare causing the bible story of adam and eve as the first humans
