Their were a few topics about this already but they said spoilers so i thought it was best not to read them. ive completed the story line (got the gold trophy) and ive got altairs armour from doing the tombs, is their much point in going through the effort of finding all the truth files, i think ive only done about half or  is it not worth it? cheers

It is worth it if you're already half way there as it opens up the back story.
