All PS3 Trophies

Heres a petitiion going around just in case anybody's a little pissed at Activision for not realising what a recession really is.

It has all the info on there and im pretty certain we all know what its about anyway.

Personally I signed it because I dont like the fact that Activision said they would stop supporting the PS3 unless they lowered the price, then they raise the price of MW2. I've got nothing against Infinity Ward and i'm looking forward to playing MW2, but i'm not going to support Activision in the slightest, so i'll get this game after it's been traded in.

I'd love to hear other thoughts on this as well!

Well the price wont drop if in the first week they dont make a little bit more money…… but if they see a price difference by maybe 1/4 or 3/8 of what they expected to make you better believe that they will immediatley drop the price….. and i know that if it takes me 2 months to wait until a resonable price than I will definatley wait… I have plenty other games. (And you should check out Amazon.com because after about 2 week of it being out there are people that will sell the game brnd new for 5 or 10 bucks less than what its retail value is)

Exactly how i feel. im gonna be picking up Uncharted 2, Assassins Creed 2, R&C, and Batman before i get this game.

Im personally more excited for MAG and Bioshock 2 than MW2. But MW2 will still be awesome! 

you got mine i dont like activision as a company but they have good games

Are you complaing about the prestige edition?  Do you know it comes with freakin night vision goggles?  If you don't like it, buy the regular one.  GEESH!

If you can not afford something. DON'T BUY IT.

A company has the right to raise the price as high as they want.  It is good business to find the right price point so that you can maximize profits.  The sales of their games are directly dependant on the number of systems that Sony sells.  They want more systems out there so they have the potential to sell more games.  Everyone has complained about the pricing of the PS3.  Why spend time developing a game for a system that a small percentage of people own?

These guys have put together a collecters edition for those who want something a little more unique. 

CODMW was a great game.  Why shouldn't they try to make more money off the next game?

If you want to petition about something why don't you complain to the folks that made GI Joe the game and expect 69.99 for it!

ok i agree with the gi joe game that suck its a piece of crap no one in there right mind would buy that game make a petition and i will sign it for sure 

I agree with thickbrow because Activision has the right to charge whatever they want now if people buy it for that price than Activision’s reason would be well supported by the amount of money they racked in

I dont know how much MW2 has increased in the states but over in the UK, the rrp has increased by £15! Thats quite a bit!

It's also the fact that Activision is being incredibly greedy. Of course it's within their rights to raise the prices of computer games, but with a game that they expect to sell over 10 million copies, I think thats a little extreme!

And if we look at it from parents views for Christmas. Some kids get a few games for Christmas but I'm sure parents will be a tad reluctant to spend more money on top of MW2, so game sales of other IP's wil go down (this would explain the mass exodus of games to 2010 though!)

Another look at this is pure hypocrisy on Activisions part. They said to sony to lower the price of the PS3, but some of their collectors editions already cost about the same price as a Wii or Eggbox or bout half the price of a PS3. So it's very hypocritical of them to start raising the prices of their games so they can milk the public for all their worth!

The thing is, I cant wait for MW2, Infinity Ward are a great company and have made a steller game, and it sucks that quite a few people are going to pirate the game and get it used to spite Activision. Even though in all likelyhood the petition wont work, hopefully it will give Activision an eye opener as to what their consumers are thinking instead of their shoddy attempts at market research!

Also, I dont like the way they handled the Brutal Legend case. The dropped the project, then told the developers that they owed them development time. Thats like firing somebody, then saying to them you want some of the money you earned from them back!
