Some people (government) are bitching about the terrorist mission in Modern Warfare 2 and want the game banned, what do you guys think?

well i heard that you have the option to not play any controversal levels at the beginning of the game. Just say no if you don't want to. Its pretty stupid that the government wants to ban the game even though is optional.

No way should it be banned. With a warning in it should be fine, besides, it all adds to the atmosphere of the game. It really does mess with a person's morales of what is right and what is wrong, even in a video game, it adds to the games overall effect on the player.

It's time that media and government understand that videogames is an art like movies and books...i think it's also time for companies to push those boundaries and exploring more the adults side and stop worrying about the medias, and do what they want. Honestly i've seen worse in some movies.

i've just been thinking about this but..
seeing that your killing innocent people in an airport is kind of a dick move by IW. It is seems to be very gory and scary too. i myself wouldn't kill anyone during this mission.

I was in total shock when i played this mission. I really couldnt believe that they would even consider putting a level like this in a game. I just walked with them.. i was just like: WTF is this?
the great thing is, you can skip it, without any harm to Trophies, or Story, so thats awesome.

What's the difference killing those innocent ppls in that airport and the 1000's innocents you've probably killed in any GTA game.. All those poor pedestrians walking around and you just ran over them with your car. It's the same for me...........................pixelated characters.

Very good point (although GTA usually gets released amongst a flurry of negative, ignorant comments too), what you'll usually find is that the person sounding off about it has probably never even played Pac-man much less GTA/COD.
It's probably an even split between ignorance on the part of the politician/newspaper and a desire to get a bit of cheap publicity.

i think people need to get a grip its a war game, it has an 18 rating for a reason and also the warning at the beginning for a reason

I dont GTA but i foung the mission very good beacause it give to the game very good story line

how can it be a dick move? its a game for god sake, its also an 18, you ALSO have the option to skip it so there should be NO problem. i myself thought it added something different instead of always being the 'good' guy. remember, its only 1 mission.
