Every downloaded hazard suit for isaac starts off at level 5 shadeblack, and theres a reason why. whether its the obsidian suit or the scorpion suit both are enhanced with better armor and maxed out inventory slots, so basically they both give you an early edge. no matter what suit you have equipped, however, you can always upgrade to the level 6 soldier suit you unlock after beating the game once. godspeed!

thanks for that info.
I found out just now also, that not every suit needs to be upgraded. they all share the same upgrade parts, so whether you have a level 2, or level 5 suit, the upgrades are the same.
… They don't ALL start at level 5 though :S
there is a suit for each level when you get the schematics.
I just finished the game and you are also correct about the newer military suit, I can't wait to put that on 
man this game has a great ending

actually the scorpion suit is excellent. It CAN be upgraded, it has full inventory slots and 25% armour, which makes it the second best RIG.
and yeah i got it for free when pre-ordering.

Oh ok .. I guess it's quite good, but it's still UGLY!
Anyways what I ment with buying it was buying it in the ingame store, not the playstation store, cuz yeah I got it for free aswell.

really? I don't think it looks too bad… Although, the final miltary suit looks Frekain' AWESOME! kinda like a storm trooper lol.
