I saw the dead space cartoon(adult) movie in hmv today and thought long and hard about buyin it as i liked the story in dead space and the film shows you what happend to the ships crew… it was 20quid and only on blu ray so i thought id ask about first, see if its worth the watch and the cash…

no. to be honest, i thought it was terrible.
you're correct to call it a cartoon as well… some people are calling it anime, which really frustrates me because the animation is terrible. the story is only good because it's the prequel to the game many now love. however, there is no emotion, the voice acting is terrible and aliens look retarded.
the CGI they use in some parts of the movie is also really bad.
I thoroughly disliked it. :/

Thanks for that mate, i might leave it for now and maybe get it if i see one cheap! man, something like that story had so much potential and from what you have told me it sounds like they have spoiled it! nobs!

Yeah its supposed to show you what happend to the ships crew and about what they got up to etc before you get there, a prequel… have a look on http://www.hmv.co.uk i'm sure it will be on there as i saw it in the shop on sunday

I actually enjoyed the movie. Though there were some errors (alien arms bursting through torso, size of marker, and the captains death) overall it was a good flick. Bought it the day it came out, next: ordering the graphic novel! (also rocks)

the captains death wasn't an error right? you get to see it happen for real in the movie, and you get to see it on a videlolog ingame, I found it quite amusing. The whole stick-a-needle in his eye thingy.

HUH!?
alien arms came through the stomach, which is the same in the game as well.
the size of the marker was about right when compared to the human size.
and the captain does die because he plays a significant part in all of it. in the game, there is even a video log of it.

Firstly, I'm not really sure if anyone on this thread were actually disputing the fact the 'film' didn't exists, rather if it was worth buying…
Secondly i think it's a bit of a joke that you call yourself 'misteradmin' yet fail to notice you were posting on a thread that's about TWO years old… Are you kidding?

I didn't think I was going to get any more smiles from APT but this pretty impressive bump did make me smile. Then, mid smile, Jenkem had to turn it into a proper laugh. Like, a real belly laugh, those ones that make you heave laughs out until you can laugh no more.
