How do you get these two trophies? Are they mini games somewhere in the game? I am on chapter 7 but have had no hint of them yet.
I am aiming this at shadeblack in particular, as I know you are almost at Platinum.

excellent cheers guys. finished chapter seven, i am loving this game! I love how it gets harder as it goes along.
One question, with the All Maxed Out trophy, do you have to buy every rig just to upgrade it? It has got to be one difficult trophy to get, as it takes 21 nodes just to upgrade a weapon!

hey! I'm doing the imposiible mode and then i got the platinum, so I think I can help you out here with these questions!
First off, you might find that it gets easier as you get closer to the end because once you got everything upgraded nothing can stop you really.
Anyway, by the end of my first playthrough on easy, I had 70 power nodes to SPARE, which I didn't use at all. so put your mind at ease with the upgrading situation because as you get nearer to the end you get loads of em!
Furthermore (with the all maxed out trophy), you do NOT need to buy every RIG, because the upgrades on your RIG applies to ALL of the RIGs. so if you went straight to the level 5 suit, you don't need the lower suits to upgrade, a vice versa, if you upgraded a level 3 suit, the level 4, and 5 suits will have those same upgrades. I hope that answers your question.

just remember that the empty nodes dont count towards maxing out your weapons. anticipate the most efficient route through each weapons circuit to save some power nodes!

Wait, what ? Impossible mode ? You mean I have to complete it on Hard first to unlock impossible mode ? Great..
Anyways I started with normal so I could get some upgrades and money and such before starting with Hard, just one question:
What exactly will I keep when I start a new game ?
(money, p nodes, my complete inventory, audio/vid logs ?)
edit: just wondering, Shadeblack, how many platinums do you have?

yup. impossible mode is unlocked when you complete either easy, normal or hard, so you don't have to play hard to unlock impossible.
Oh, and bebop (cowboy) brings up a good point – since you only need to get the nodes that give you the power ups, you need to think about what route you can take to get the power ups without spending too many nodes on empty nodes.
On the subject of starting a new game for impossible mode, you get nothing; that's right, NOTHING when you start a new game on a new mode. however, if you do a new 'round' when you complete the game everything carries over, but you will be on the same difficulty level.
just to make that clear, when you do impossible mode, you will start with nothing.
PS: – I currently have 3 platinums and hope to have my fourth by the end of this week.

I played it through twice on easy just so i could max out everything then once on impossible for the platinum….
I have to say i like the impossible setting as it actualy was a little hard lol. And it made the game so much more scary….not wanting to go around the next corner for a possible decapitation!

You have to be good and shoot just about all the asteroids.
Focus mainly on the centre asteroids. Get some practice in and get good at taking them out far away with one shot. And rememer if a really big one gets close or too many use both shoulder buttons and just go nuts on them.
I alternated between using the left and right barrels….and don't be super hard on the joystick….you need to be precise and accurate.

yeah i think i did on my… 10th or 11th try. it's hard to get and requires some practice… but you also need a bit of luck, because the asteroids come in randomly. they are not in any particular order like some say on other websites.
i remember on one try i got mainly massive boulders flying towards me and very little small ones. whereas on another try, i got mainly small boulders, which helped a lot.
just keep trying and you'll do it.

I actually completed this one yesterday, did it on my fourth or so try. Just as Oz says concentrate on the asteroids that come in the centre of the screen, but of course try and get as many of the others aswell. If you don't get it just quit and load to try again.
Developers was nice to us leaving a savestation right before this trophy

ain't that the truth!!
I am so close to getting this platinum, which would be my first!!
This game is also proof that a game doesn't need online to be a good game or be successful. That had already been proved with Uncharted and Ratchet of course!!

haha, this will be my first platinum too man. I am going thru the game on impossible mode right now to gain the Epic Tier 3 Engineer trophy, and then I will have my platinum. It really is not that hard on impossible mode. Use the refill your stasis cheat alot and freeze enemies and then beat them to death. Im on chapter 6 right now and have only used like 50 bullets for the plasma cutter.

Well I had beat the game on normal like 2 times and the first 2 chapters on a 3rd run through to get the maxed out trophy without using cheats. So the game got really boring after so many play throughs. So using cheats has made it more interesting to me.
