Good news PS3 Fallout 3 owners:
Bethesda has announced that those Fallout 3 DLC packs that Xbox 360 owners have been enjoying for the last few months will be heading to the PS3 starting with Operation: Anchorage in late June. The other two DLC packs, The Pitt and Broken Steel will be released four to six weeks apart. A patch will be released for the game in order to make these DLC packs work with the PS3 version of the game. All release dates are yet to be nailed down.
In addition, two new DLC packs have been announced and will be heading to both platforms. Point Lookout, as revealed by retailers earlier this month, will feature a massive swampland area to explore and in Mothership Zeta you'll suffer through an alien abduction. These packs will be available on Xbox 360 and PC starting late June and on PS3 once the first three have been released.
If you don't have an internet connection (huh?) these packs can still be obtained through two new disc-based packages for Xbox 360 and PC. The first — containing Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel — will be available in June, with the second containing the rest of the DLC in August. A GOTY version of Fallout 3 will be available in October for PS3, 360 and PC, which will include all five add-on packs.

Barring any fanboyism from other posters, I will get the DLC for the PS3 version….when I buy the PS3 version. Right now, I have the 360 version because they announced all the DLC for that version, first.
I will just buy the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 for the PS3 when it is released, depending on the price. I may wait for the game's price to drop to the $30-$40 range.

Do you know if there will be more trophies with the DLC? I’ll probably get the GOTY edition simply becasue I’d prefer it in my hands…

Since the 360 version has a few more achievements, the PS3 version should have them as well. Keep in mind, nothing was really announced (as far as I know). The DLC was JUST announced for the PS3 version.
I'm not beyond buying two versions of the same game. I did it with BioShock, and I will do it for Fallout 3. However, they did announce that there will be a Game of the Year edition that will be released in November (that contains all 5 DLC's).

I tend to use Gamespot and IGN for my game related news. I do not tend to follow rumors too much, and I tend to stay away from one's on Gamespot. Gamespot is becoming more like tabloid journalism, which is pretty sad.

I think I may just ditch my copy of Fallout 3 and pick up the GOTY edition. I bet it would work out cheaper to get them in a bundle rather than seperately.

Any word yet on if the patch will be free? I think it should be for making us wait this long for the same content Xbox has had for a long time.

Just an update for anyone expecting Operation Anchorage to be the first DLC released by Bethesda:
http://blog.us.playstation.com…..nt-on-psn/
It seems that they are releasing Broken Steel first because its the most requested by fans which means the Level Cap will be raised to 30.Exciting news but still no given release date

i heard the prepaid-cards are coming to europe in october… is this true? becuz this is the first i will buy then! i dont wanna spend a lot of money on something i already have… they should give some sort of discount to people who already own the original, because its rather unfair.
