It took me about fifty hours without a guide. That also included a bit of wandering around killing stuff for fun so I've no doubt with a guide and purpose you'll shorten it considerably.

While I haven't done it, its because for some odd reason my game keeps freezing, and I got pissed. Its possible to do it in one run. Save right before leveling to 8, 14, and 20, so you can get each karmic associated trophy. Do every quest, hack everything you see, and lock pick everything you can. 35-40 hours easy, probably less. Especially quick using a guide to find the bobbleheads. This game is fun to explore though,,, Its enormous, I wouldn't rush it. Maybe thats just me though.

Fallout 3 is hard, i guess its just the beggining when your strongest gun is that 10mm thing. But I like it. And the missions are fricki'n long. like an hour each, thats 28h+all the other trophies.

It definitely isn't a game you should rush. The temptation to charge through it for the plat is there but you'd be doing yourself a disservice. The game is fantastic and there is so much to find that you miss just sticking to the missions. I'm looking forward to starting the whole thing again when the DLC arrives.

tbh, the main stroy line only takes a minimal ammount of time 2 rush through, but i do advise u 2 just explore around, take ur time and actually pay attention 2 the mini quests, which are v.gd 4 the storyline aswell
btw, dont forget, soon DLC will be out, so plat will overall be 53%ish

Don't turn the difficulty down!! heh, its hardest in the beginning I think. Once you get some better weapons you can work your way up to killing stronger stuff. Once you complete the Escape! quest, its total free roam, so you can go places you shouldn't yet and die. You just need to figure out where you can go and survive, plus figure out the little nuances of the battle system. It ain't your typical shooter or RPG, fo sho.
