Okay, so I recently sat down and played a few games of Farcry online (which I had never bothered with before) and surprised myself by enjoying it. So I was toying with the idea of going for the plat (I'm on 64%) and the tricky trophies seem to be the ones for unlocking all manuals for the weapons and getting to rank 30.
To give myself a target I checked out what XP I needed to hit rank 30 and the figure I've come across is 1.25million…
Can anybody verify that for me? It seems absolutely nuts to expect people to play for that long! Even at 1000XP a game (which is a lot, probably boosted) that's 300+hrs.
Has anyone got this plat?

I never really get rid of the games i don't Plat., meaning i've still got this. If you wanna boost or find a quick way to get XP give me a shout…
I still have a few of the SP trophies to get  But i'd have to start a new game and the times i do think about starting it i remember how much driving about there is and how big the map is… Perhaps one day.
But like i say giimie a shout…

I'm in the same frame of mind myself. I have to find about half of the diamonds and then load an old game to rescue all of the buddies and find the audio diaries.
I don't mind the driving but it's the constant interruptions by patrols and fixing my car afterwards that wrecks my head.
At least the collectibles turn up on the map after you find them. It means you can keep track of where you've been with a fair amount of accuracy.
I'm just getting to grips with the online at the moment but if I'm looking to boost then I'll give you a shout. Cheers.

Its about 1,000,000 Million XP for the Fear 2 platinum, I've seen that.
Im also quite sure I've seen a user with the platinum.

I know of 1 person who has the Plat for both Fear 2 and Far Cry 2, His ID is Auspuff.
Both require an insane ammount of online boosting, something that gets very boring for me.
BUT i do have both Fear 2 and Far Cry 2 on my list and if we could get a good system going where we all benefit then i could be up for boosting.
All Fear 2 trophies can mostly be boosted now as not very many people play online.
Far Cry 2 on the other hand requires many specific kinds of kills to get all the weapon upgrades, something that will need more than 2 people boosting at the same time (Eg Multi Kills) I had a list with all the requirements somewhere….
Also isn't there a trophy for being on the winning side in a 16 player ranked match? If the online is dead than we will need 16 boosters…

I know it's kinda off topic but I'd be well up for boosting some F.E.A.R 2… How many people do you need to host a match? Or does it 'auto-match'?
I don't have the game just now but i could borrow it off my trophy nemesis… Me getting some MP trophies would p!ss him off, lol. I'd dedicate a whole weekend for this if someone wanted? I'd need some time to pick it up but like i say i would def. boost F.E.A.R 2
Even if it was with someone from the US or whatever, i could stay up no prob's… And FC2 if anyone fancies?

For Fear 2 i think you need 4 to start a ranked match. We could no doubt boost all the small MP trophies during a weekend but it'l take much more than a weekend to Plat. If we're going to chat alot about Fear 2 we should probably start a new thread for that aswell.
Well we have 3 out of the required 16 for the team win trophy…..Haha

Far Cry isn't dead yet. I only played about five games and two of them had sixteen players. I lost both of course but there's still hope.
If we do decide to boost Far cry then I can borrow my brother's copy of the game and possibly buy a cheapo copy off Ebay and set up two extra dummy consoles.

is farcry even worth playing? im looking to pick up something cheap to hold me over til the sly collection comes out. (IMO its going to be effin sick, especially with the move) If its worth playing i might pick it up, and thus be able to help, but if its a painful game, ill pass. If i wanted to plat a painful game id put unreal 3 back in lol

It's not a hard game as such but it is a bit of a G-R-I-N-D…
Think JC2… It's along the same lines as that IMO. If your looking for a Plat. though i might give this a miss…
Saying that you could prob. pick up this half decent game for about a fiver or something…
