OK. I don't have a list of games but We want YOU, yes YOU to do the following.

The categories are:
PSN: (go to PSStore choose Games, choose View by Genre and choose one of the categories below. Now pick your game and post it here.

Game Shows
Old-School Arcade Classics
Online
Puzzle
Racing
Role-Playing
Shooters
Sports
Strategy
You can choose one game from each category
REMEMBER: This is only a Beta. And its only for PSN games, I just want to see the results. You can give me suggestions and you can do one yourself but in the end we will might make a Topic called ''APT GotY'' which is the full verison. And if Admin wants to use this in any way HE CAN!

i think we should do a nominations thread first so we can cut the crap and get the games that everyone likes in one list, people could nominate their top 3 games of one genre of the year then, once theirs a few nominations we creat a voting thread where everyone says their favourite games out of every category eg id nominate like this
FPS
MW2
Killzone 2
MAG (BETA)
perhaps also do a section for fave dlc?
anyways if a game was to say get nominated more than once in the same category by different people it gets added to the list for people to vote for in that section in the actual goty thread, also remember most of us will be voting on games we havent yet played like MW2, and for all we know it could be a fail (i mean deathstreaks? come on…),alright maybe not a fail but i do believe IW are trying way to much, i’ve heard a lot of stuff i dont like, but thats another topic. so perhaps we should wait awhile for this to happen anyway

We will make a Final Topic in January 2010. Rember this is just a beta to see how much people willl participate. I like your nominating idea. I think we should do that.

hmmm… honestly I'm going to have to go home and look back at my PSN games to see what I've got…. My only problem with this here is that once I buy a PSN game in any genre, I've seen no reason to buy another… and I can't rent them. However I will say right off the bat
Puzzle – Echocrome
Strategy – Pixel Junk Monsters
Racing – WipEout HD
consider it my nominations for the moment. Also, some PSN games have been “concept games” that don't really fit a genre. Many people on this site have expressed a fondness for Flower, which I feel the same way, but I'm not sure how to put that in a genre. Pixel Junk Eden is great too,,, I suppose we could call that a platformer. I assume we don't include PSone games, since they arent really new, just available in a different format.

I think Flower is in the etc. category. I think its in Adventure too. Your right about PSOne games. Should we remove it?
