one bad that thing is that, this game is coming out a month before god of war 3 and i think its stupid because i think ps3 owners would rather wait 1 month for the better one.
I didn't like it because its just like GoW. I mean like, you can press R2 to do that button sequence thing just like GoW. Seriously Viceral?

Oh No you can press R2 ! Does anyone complain that you can press L1 to do that aiming in thing in most shooters ? No .

Im not saying that. Im saying that you can do the button sequence just like in GoW!
The only thing Dante's Inferno and GoW dont have in common is that you have that option when you grab your enemies.

well this game is going seel anyway as for xbox360 owners this is the closest they will come to playing god of war unless they buy a ps3

Tbh most games right now are copies of other games and that is how it will be for a long time. SO if U copying smthing better do it from the top list – like GoW 3  .
I will have to grab both games then

did you play the demo? Its not how you think game industries copy each other. This game is the exact same thing with changes to the story, enivorment, characters, and worse graphics compared to GoW3.

God Of War 3 has no competition.. It absolutely DESTROYS the crap out of this game, so there is no competition for it against Dante's Inferno.. I mean, its like the Father of Hack and Slash, against another clone.. obviously the Father is going to win.. so God of War takes the cake EASILY.
and people saying we don't want to wait for God Of War 3.. pick up God Of War Collection.. Should keep you busy for a long time.

This is just like Prototype and inFamous. inFamous kicks Prototype's ass. God of War kicks Dante's Inferno's ass.

I like both games – inFamois and Prototype and both are equl to me.
I'm sure that GoW 3 will kick Dante's Inferno ass but still for me demo was nice and if I will have few spare dimes I will grab a piece .

Does anyone want to remind me how GOW got into this chat ? It was made to talk over your pros and cons , theres no reason to bash it and say its completely crap compared to GOW , even if its an exact replica.

Then thats my problem , and a mistake on my behalf .
But still , why are you guys bashing it so much . Its a demo , it was made to enjoy and ofcourse take in feedback from those trying it out . If i was to say Uncharted 2 was the same as 1 , you would probably say thats that total BS or agree with me . Same story with Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 1 . Your also acting as if this is the only game to take after another , well i can tell you thats BS , and if so , you better be ready because its deffinately not the first or last .

I know games copy each other but this is just way too much. Almost everything seems to be the same. I think this is the only game i have seen copy another game too much but i do know i'll see this more in the future.

It's also very similar to the Onimusha games, but thats not a bad thing. If you're gonna borrow from games borrow from the best.

onimusha3 was amazing i wish they could bring a good sequel to the ps3

For those of you who are still skeptical about this game, play the demo to almost the end, and then pause it and check out the ENTIRE upgrades list. Theres quite a bit for it (many I can't tell exactly what they do). It looks like the initial gameplay is exactly like God of War, but as you upgrade and get magic, it will introduce unique gameplay elements (like that magic dash attack you get in the end, definitely useful and cool). Also – anyone whos interested go check out the special edition of the game. Its going to sell at regular retail price (thats right, you don't have to pay extra for it!) and it comes with a couple goodies, one of which is a copy of the translation of Dante's Inferno. I thought it was really cool of them to include the epic poem from which they drew inspiration for the game and its events.
