OK, so I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new free dynamic theme in the european PSStore. I just love it and you can read everything perfectly. Much better then Afrika theme IMO.

Yup it's pretty frickin awesome. Especially because it's free. It's not as good as the sackboy one that it doesn't react to the time of day it is or anything but it's still really cool.

the wipeout theme isnt worth the HDD space, its just a rubbish loop repeated over and over again, it driving me insane just watching it

I spent about 20 minutes and worked my way through the Japan store for the Zebra theme.
Anyone have a tip on how to find that dumb game that has trophies only available on the japan store

what i did was had a good look at the english psn store then went onto the japanese psn store went to ps3 games and kept looking till i found the cat cover and also saying its free

I know my way in the japanese psn store. I know everything by pictures, but the free cat game with trophies won't let you get trophies if your acc is not japanese 
The tutorial: Open Japanese PSStore, Press down 6 times, press X, Press X, Press X, Press X…
The Free Add-on: Open Japanese PSStore, Press the First Tab, Press down 3 times, press right once, press X, Press right once, press right 4 times, press X, press X, Press X.

I'd be happier if they adopted a similar apporoach with dynamic themes as they do with some of the PSN demos. Maybe give you 60 seconds to view the theme then offer you the choice of whether you want to buy it or not.

IMO this isnt a “dynamic” theme… Its just a video being looped in the background, unlike the LBP one…

people said that they require a dev kit and sony is probably not going to give it away (for free  )

Ratchet is correct. Sony says you must be a LICENSED developer (key word!) in order to make these. So not only a developer kit, but you gotta have an in with them. What does this mean exactly? It means that a developer needs to spend money to pay employees to make the theme, and then pay to have it posted on the network – hence why they're charging us for the themes. Apparently even at $3 a theme, its not even close to profitable for them. This is why the free dynamic themes are rare (or any for that matter). If anyone has played WipEout HD recently you'd notice that the online play has very little players on (last nite a total of 4 games on the whole server), so this free theme is probably just an attempt to boost some sales, especially now that its heading to retail.
