dude we have very similar taste haha. also fallout the story itself i guess is lacking but with all the running around like a chicken with its head cut off in the game you learn a lot of storylines. i love fallout and borderlands both <3
dude jeg add me lol

The Darkness II
Great game, although it ended abruptly.

Here's some that haven't been mentioned yet.
LA Noire. I can't believe no one's mentioned that. I can't think of a story that I've liked more.
A couple of decent RPG stories:
Golden Sun 1 & 2
Nier
And these next two perhaps don't have the deepest stories, but the unique way you experience the story makes it more impactful.
Shadow of the Colossus
Asura's Wrath

I must've started this thread when I started Dead Space 1, I guess, because I hated DS1. I lost interest because to me, it was just a bunch of fetch quests and the game could've been a bit scarier. I never finished it but the people who did really encourage I return to it so I might at some point. I'd like to add that Red Dead had one of the most impactful endings I've ever witnessed, MK9 has the greatest story in a fighting game ever, and Deus Ex is a brilliant story and world to get immersed in. And as you can tell by my signature, I enjoyed LA Noire

Some of the cases in LA Noire were good but overall the game was boring as sh!t… An open world game that's scripted to death with literally fek all to do apart from collect film reels…
In an open world game you need to make the most of the 'open world'… I think that game would've seemed less boring if there was no free roam
A few car chase based missions/side missions would have went a long way IMO…

The Army Of Two series had a pretty awesome story in my opinion. The characters were really likable and it had a certain amount of suspense added.

You said it Doc. LA Noire was just really boring and repetitive terribly. And I also wished there was a MAIN, central story in the game because it's just super boring and I didn't really know, or care for what was happening the entire time.

Spec Ops: The Line
Far Cry 3
Best of '12. There's no words to describe the plots of these games. These games do justice for the genre that they are representing and hopefully we could see a more ballsy attempt at story telling from the likes of Spec Ops and a more personal, intimate, and mature story from the likes of Far Cry 3. Well worth the dough.
