First of all apologies in case this topic was made before i trawled through the Gaming Related Discussion and could not find a previous topic, so before you bite my head off I did look 
I have this on pre order and was of the understanding that it was being released in march 2010. That is no longer the case  There was no date for release so i figured it was put back again but no information has been made just a few ppl saying it is now June 2010 for EU and Fall 2010 for JAP releases? Has anyone been able to find any genuine release dates for this?
It is a bit wierd they are putting it back again and again because as far as i was concerned they were supposed to be studying every car intensely to get every graphic, sound and performance realistically accurate to the actual production cars. If this is the case then most of the cars would nearly be obsolete that they were working on back in 2006 compared to the newer cars of today?!?!? Which would keep adding to the workload the longer the game takes to complete as newer cars are being released.It seems counter productive to me and then Polyphony Digital spent a long time developing their technical specs with the Hud etc to work in the Nissan GTS speedometer. Very frustrating to be constantly put on the back burner only to maximise individual game sales Let me know if you guys find anything else out

This is slightly old news… but I'm not sure its been discussed anywhere else on this site. Here's the article I read regarding it:

Thats the last time I heard anything on a release date, and I can only speculate on the reasoning for the delays. Keep in mind that they have over 1000 cars in the game, so it seems to me that they are trying to make the selection span a large time frame, and might be putting finishing touches on the newer model cars. I really don't know what else it could be.

The way i look at it, GT5 is a trailer game. They just keep releasing new trailers, and no freaking game.
I was so pumped for this a while a go, when it was announced, but to be honest, this is a big load of BS! Why is it taking this long! I will not be getting this game anymore, as its taking waaayy too long to come out. This is getting ridiculous.

I have preordered with amazon.co.uk and it's release date is March? unless the console package is for November?!?! If I have to wait till November i will ignore this game and all its BS, even if it is the best racing game ever

Think this game could get crushed under the weight of expectation. 4 (possibly 5) years in development is ridiculous.

This game has taken 5 years, has been delayed time after time after time, so the expectations for this thing are through the roof! If it is anything short of perfect, people will freak!

This is gettin out of hand, seriously.
GT5 was supposed to be out on PS3 release date, and was supposed to be Code 00001.
But, at least the company confirmed it would be out in 2010, I saw it on IGN.

im definitly not gt5 prologue was the worst racing game ive ever played i returned it the day after buying it i found it so boring

I am not buying it anymore, unless it is complete perfection. And it has been in development for far longer than 5 years my friend.
Prologue was a decent game, but i mean in all seriousness, Burnout Paradise is now like $20, and that is probably the best racing game ever imo.
