Gamer since 1983. My parents bought a Vectrex when I was six (yes I'm the ripe old age of 32 now!!).

Progressed from that to an Amstrad CPC 464 then Megadrive when Sonic came out. Happy days

My first system was COLECOVISION and I started playing it when i was in grade 1 or grade 2…. So when i was around 5yrs old or so.
Here is a link for those who don't remember it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C…..lecovision
a closer picture of the system is here: http://www.computercloset.org/…..vision.htm
This system was amazing. It wasn't really kid friendly and I ended up breaking the controller a few times. It looked more like a tv remote and a twisty knob on the top.
The games were great. I remember playing a game called Ladybug. which was a cooler version of pacman IMO. I also played DonkeyKong on here and a game called Carnival was pretty fun. (all these games are linked from the wiki site)
I had also remembered playing a smurf game. I was SOOOO sure of this but everyone i had talked to since then could not remember it. Well after reading this thread i checked on Wiki and there is INFACT a smurf game that came out for this system.

I remember it was an Atari 800XL when i was 8 i think, so waaaaaay back in 1988 (yeah im an old git!) I loved that machine, even though it was a tape loader and would crash 9 times out of 10 lol.
Then i switched allegiance to Nintendo and owned a NES and SNES respectively. Duck Hunt what a game!

Been a gamer for as long as I can remember (literally). One of the first things I can remember is being like 3 or 4 years old when my older brother opened the box for the NES. I was hooked. Marble Madness, Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros. (DUCK HUNT!), Blaster Master, boo yaah for the classics. I'm 23 now, and wish that NES still worked, and that I knew where those games were (I lost some in college, what a shame).

I started gaming in the early 80’s (born in ‘81), but I didn’t really get into gaming until Mega Man 2 for the NES. Technically, an Atari 2600 or a Commadore 64 (sic) would be my first systems….

My first console was one of them old nintendos, and I had some Mario game with it. Don't know what happened to it though. I think I had it when I was 6, and from then on I kept getting the consoles.
