All PS3 Trophies

So I couldn't find a thread for this game in the gaming related discussion, so I made one. 

The game is freaking incredible. First off, the story mode was well varied, and I loved the addition of cutscenes and some new gameplay mechanics like the bumblebee vehicle. 

But where this game really shines, obviously, is the online community.

The new creation tools they have given us really make things easier and add more depth to what we can create. The microchip (i think thats what its called) is absolutely a great idea. Instead of having to place a bunch of things on the object itself, you can put a microchip on it, and place all the modulation things in there and they will effect the object. That probably didn't make any sense, but go watch all the tutorials and be amazed at what they have done.

I have got to play a few user-created levels so far, and I must say: HOLY CRAP. Some people are making movies, and tv shows, which are actually very well done! More entertaining to watch than regular tv in my opinion. The movie making is so cool, and some people are taking it to a new level of creativity.

Another level I played was a top-down racer, (think pixeljunk racers) which was a hell of a lot of fun.  I also got to play a  retro Galaga-type shooter which was flawless in controls and feel. 

What really amazed me though, was this tower defense level someone created. It had multiple levels in it, I only got up to level 3 because I had to go out. But I could have played that thing all night long. It felt like a true tower defense game, I completely forgot I was playing LBP2. It really made me realize that the possibilities for this game are endless. 

This really is the game that has every type of game in it. Perfection, if you ask me.

So, I have to be honest here. I was extremely disappointed with this game, but I still give it a 9/10. I know that makes little sense but here we go.

The story mode was sadly horrible. I loved all the new stuff they added, but I felt like every world was the same.. Here is something new and awesome we created and an entire level devoted you learning how to use it. It's like they wanted to try one of everything and then you don't really use it ever again. The cut scenes were horrible, wasted “levels” in my opinion. I understand they were trying to make more of a story from it but come on, I got sick of them fast and I think the way LBP did it was much better. Speaking of wasted levels, this game was short. The only reason I didn't beat it in one sitting is because I started playing so late and had to be up early. They seemed to have downsized from LBP which was very disappointing. Finally, this game was WAY to easy. I beat almost every level without dying on my first try. The only ones that are even half challenging were the last world. I know it's geared for all gamers so they don't want to make it super difficult but at least make it challenging (you know, like LBP was)

The place where this game earned my respect and made it worth the money is online. I won't go into detail because parnakas already did, but wow. This game is amazing online. Also, I really enjoy the pins =]
