There has been a patch release for MNR with another one coming very soon. This made me both happy and kind of upset, I am happy because the create and overall XP has been changed to make this manageable now. The thing I hate, and don't understand, is they are dumbing down the challenges and difficulty of the game. The reason is people were complaining that it was to difficult, but the only thing this will effect is how hard it is to get the trophies… So now it seems if enough people complain companies will go back and make ther trophies easier to achieve.
I thought this was stupid, I already got all these and feel like others are getting off easy now =/
Sorry I just wanted to rant.
For those of you who haven't seen yet, here is the old/new breakdowns for create xp
Download – 5 xp / 100 xp
View – 1 xp / 20 xp
Track Used – 2 xp / 40 xp
Mod Used – 2 xp / 40 xp

I'm actually pretty happy with that. I had decided I wasn't going to bother with the online trophies but this patch will make me go back.
You still need a couple of hundred downloads and races but it makes it achievable. There are too many games on the market to expect people to dedicate themselves to one for months.

If I have learned anything from my time working in the service industry it’s that for quite a few people, the basic theories behind the use of a toilet are absolute mysteries…

Yeah, I agree. They think they make the best games but most people only dedicate to cod. When they patch the lag il buy this game!

I'm happy with the XP fix (I got my Star Creator trophy, 200k away from my plat) I just hate that they dumbed down everything else

I was going to trade this game in because I found it way to repetitive but maybe i could go back and try to platinum it…but i need to sell it quick before they lower the trade price and won't be able to pre-order Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and LBP2

This is actually really good. I thought the XP Trophy would be impossible, but this makes it much easier. Looks like I'll be back on ModNation.
And does anyone know an exact date of release for this patch?

Ya Cory was telling me that they are adding an easy mode for the campaign, and i think thats
extremely dumb that they are doing that. I mean some of the SP trophies are hard to get but nothing impossibe. I had every single SP trophy in that game except the one where you have to beat all the challenges. But I have to redo every single race on SP to get that trophy because all of my memory got erased.
But I feel that the patch on the create xp thing was a great idea

Easy mode appeals to my lazy streak but I'm never a fan of a game becoming too user friendly. It's the same attitude being implemented across the whole gaming industry. They're trying to make their games approachable to even the most casual of gamers so the learning curve has to be nice and easy.
It makes perfect sense from a business point of view but gamers that relish a challenge don't want to see their ten year old neighbour picking up the same plats as them in half the time.

MNR is a kids title at heart… Sure there is the mod studio but the meat and veg is the kart racing. Most other games always have a “complete on hardest difficulty trophy” bar a few (Dante's ) so i wouldn't worry to much about the future of gaming per say… But i def. welcome the Xp patch.
If Demons Souls 2 comes out no doubt there'll be an easy mode… Even the Eu version of the first is “watered down”. As long as there are difficulty related trophies, the men will always get separated from the boys  (or women from girls, cat's from dogs etc.)
P.s. – I will get my copy back soon and DL the stuff from everyone i haven't already… I also need to start making more stuff

I think United Front thought the game was gonna be a massive, massive hit… Like LBP, but it just didn't happen.
I know making it easy will upset some who put in the dedication to unlock everything the standard way, but at least it didn't offer a 'pay-to-unlock' option like some other games do on the store…

LBP didn't even require the same effort as MNR. You just had to play other people's levels and that was always going to be fun.
I think one of the problems with MNR is that apart from the few novelty Karts/Mods people aren't going to DL stuff to actually use. I don't know about you guys, but I like racing the Karts that I've created myself. I think tracks are the only real option for heavy DL traffic.

If you have played the challenges, the really really hard ones like hit someone with a devastator (or whatever its called, when u drove over a switch and a block came down and hit people) they are actually changing that to something else! How ridiculous! There are a couple of these challenges they are changing, I think it's weak.
I don't mind adding a easier difficulty, but I don't think it should change the trophies (personally I think you should have to beat it on the hardest to get the trophies =] lol)
Anyway, I'm at 338,000 xp so if you get bored and wanna download my mods (hahaha) I'm almost to my 500k and plat =]

Well if you are trying to type a message to someone while playing this game there is a lot of lag on that. Other than that and the loading screens its an excellent game.
