So i have been playing through dantes inferno trying to get what should be an easy plat, but because im an idiot and love to make things difficult for myself, am now about to start my 3rd playthrough to get the plat, when it should take about one and 1/4 playthroughs. Both of my playthroghs i have missed one of the damned, so now i have to beat it again and do NOT want to play it at all. however, it is all i can think about, so im about to go at it again, so gamefly can send me something that im not incredably burnt out on (especially since i just platted both games on the GOW collection.) I guess i just needed to rant and was going to see if anyone else had any horror stories like this where because you were to either retarded or stoned or what (or in my case, retarded stoned) causing you to have to put excessive hours into a game that you didnt need to so you can plat it. Because we are all dirty, dirty, trophy whores.

Lol. I did the same thing only it was a judas coin but it wasnt that bad since the game is short and the combats fun. I had to rent terminator 3 times! 1: my ps3 YLOD and i didnt feel like playing that crap. 2: My real start to plat rental  3: My friend said he wanted an easy plat and asked me to loan me money for it. Turns out that game has decent local co op!

I missed the damned right after the endurance test at the end. I never create 2 game saves during a game but for some strange reason (luckily) I'd saved right before the test. So rather than having to do the whole game again I olnly had to start from the endurance test.
Got YLOD after finishing AC2 so had to start the game again to get the feathers

I had to complete that game 4 times for platinum but by far the worst for me was FIFA 09

Ehmm well my PS3 died when I had only 4 Spec Ops missions left to do, so I had to do them all again.
And Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic was glitchy crap so them two plats were nightmares for me.
Neither neccessarily my own fault.

I always seem to get my Plat's/trophies the hard way… Almost every time i miss something or something glitches. Here are a couple i remember…
Fallout 3 – Weaponsmith trophy glitched
Dante's – Collect all the hint's, missed some twice
Moxxie DLC - Had to play through 4 diff. larger tournaments
I also never use a guide for a first playthrough so i normally have to go through everything again to complete them… I must subconsciously love the G-R-I-N-D
You can complete Dante's on easy in under three hours. I did just for the hint's from that “dude”. It's funny cause you can change the difficulty before the last save – I have a save file that says i completed it on the hardest difficulty in about 2hours 39min, lmao…
IMO it makes getting them so much better, but the journey so much longer and annoying…

But MW2 cost my another £120 on 3 new controllers and 2 broken bone in my hands as i punched the wall after failing my last spec ops challenge and me getting up amd punching the wall 3 times. And after all of that i said never again.

Wow, I have never broken a controller. I busted my R2 playing LBP trying to Ace the bunker.
It got stuck and I was trying to move around and sackboy just kept flailing his arms around, I must say it took me a minute to figure out what had happened. I managed to fix the controller though (another decent ole' whack) and it has been fine since, but frankly controllers are too expensive. I am generally much happier to hit the giant novelty teddy that is stored in the room where I game.

Wow,rage much? lol. I also think that MW2 gave me hypertension cause of campers and noobs. Glad I stopped playing it now haha.
My Platinum Nightmare is trying to finish FFXIII. I had to go thru 3 repairs of my PS3's YLOD and I had to platinum it in my new PS3 Slim. So glad I could transfer the save from my old PS3 to the Slim,it recognizes the PSN of the save instead of the PS3 serial itself. If that wasn't possible, I could have lost atleast 50 hours of playtime and went into a rampage.

FFXIII dissapointed me so bad i didnt even finish it. i kept telling myself “we'll wheni get to gran pulse it wil be open world and cooler and i can get into it”…..then gran pulse was lame. I couldnt even bring myself to beat it for the trophies…
