All PS3 Trophies

I have been on this site for a few months now and feel like I haven't really contributed anything of true merit and hopefully with strong support this idea will change that.

The Platinum Night Challenge would start in January and be held either once a month or around every two weeks. On the selected night all participants must earn a platinum trophy and message me or else be eliminated from the competition. I don't care if you play Hannah Montana or Demon Souls just earn a platinum and message me. Who knows this could last a week or all of 2010. But as a prize I will personally buy the winner a $50 dollar Psn card or something along those lines and if I end up winning i just save myself 50 bucks. Anyone on this site can participate. Give me some feedback and if its good i'll create a sign up thread and this thing will be started in no time.

lol sounds kinda cool.. but the main concern here is do people have the money to be getting new games every month? Probably not..

But i kinda like the idea.. it would be really competitive..

You can do whatever you like as long you earn trophy on that day but my stipulation is that you message me as soon as you plat. Just to put in a little extra effort. And i’ll message a selected participant to show my effort.

Just a random question here, but….does your name actually mean something or is it just a random collection of numbers and letters?

I think it refers to the Dharma Initiative and the numbers 4-8-15-16-23-42 that have been referenced many times in LOST (Hurley's winning lottery numbers, the numbers on the hatch, etc). Great name dude!!! FEB.2!!!

That is an awesome idea man. I'd just like to point out a few things before any of this becomes official.

1) Keeping this contest “Fair” is almost impossible. Even right now there are a lot of people who are just a few trophies away from a plat.

2) Remember, even if you take all participants names and check their trophy lists before the contests starts, It's still easy to cheat…people can have a platinum, but NOT have their trophy list synced online yet. So after 6 days of the competition they can then sync the trophy lists to show 5 earned platinums (3 of which were earned before the comp started). ALSO, you can manually change the PS3s clock, so the time showing for those trophies earned will be inside the comps time period

3) Some people don't have Burnouts plat yet, as well as Hasbro family game night and WWE. Those who do not yet have them have a serious advantage as you can get those plats in a day or two.

The way I figure it, there is only 1 way to hold this competition and make it fair. Videogame launch dates. The contest should start with GoW3 and the 1st person to get that Plat earns 1 point, Dark void comes out on the 19th…1st person to get that plat earns 1 point. (and so on…). 1st person to get 3 points earns the $50 PSN card,

Hell, I'll help you too man. I work at a videogame store (I get games early sometimes, So I'm void from the competition). I can award PS3 games as I get get some pretty cheap ones usually. Although I'd have to check with Canada post to see what shipping rates to the UK are.

I'm up for it I don't think I am a noob to this site anymore, but I know I wont last long, once a platinum is in my grasp I cant resist getting it.
