All PS3 Trophies

Hey, do you guys think a ps4 will come out? If so what year do you think. I say yes and im thinking around 2012 and 2013.

i think the ps3 is still capable of much more.  I hope that they keep the ps3 for at least 10 years like they originally intended.  I think it could easily go to 2016.  have a new console by 2019.

the more time they spend on making the next console the better it will be.  if they rush it, people won't buy it.

as it stands, people are still buying ps2s.  why would sony make a newer console if they can consistently make money off the consoles they have already?

Sony has pointed out the 10+ year life span of the PS3.

So, we will not see the PS4 for a while..

Half of the developers out there still have not used the PS3 to its fullest..

while graphics are always the most obvious thing to see in a new system, thickbrow is right that its not the end all be all of making a game.  gameplay is.  The new systems can perform complicated calculations in the background allowing for support of better physics engines, more objects to interact with, more scripts running at one time, better AI,,,, so on and so forth, and the PS3 has such capabilities that its allowing for a kind of gameplay we've never seen before.  Developers haven't maxed out the power on PS3 graphically yet, and in that same instance, haven't maxed out its computational abilities, meaning they can still push it further gameplay wise.  If you still think this isn't true, play tomb raider for PS1, then play it for PS3.  You can see how from one to the other the graphics aren't the only thing that improved but the gameplay has too.  However, while the new one has great graphics, you'd probably still rather play something else like Prince of Persia, because it has better gameplay.  If the game isn't fun, it doesn't matter how great it looks it just won't fly.  A great example of next gen gameplay is looking at infamous… when cole climbs things, his hands and feet grip where they're supposed to grip.  Thats not just graphics, but an incredibly complicated scripting for clipping detection which is simply not possible on other systems… which is what makes PS3 so great.  Watch any interview with a game developer on a PS3 exclusive, they always talk about “we could never do this kind of thing before”.  They aren't just talking about graphics, and they certaintly aren't used to it… and there won't be a new system until they need it.  Year 2016 or later, easily.

they will not make a ps3 for a while because the ps3 is considered the only 7th generation console, so there is not point updating when the are still ahead (Wii and 360 are 6th gen)

They said that no new consoles (new xbox, new wii, new ps3) will come out until at LEAST 2012, Espically with the economy situtation all over the world right now, Not to menton, They cant really process games any greater than they are right now for an equal price. And nobody has the money to spend 800.

If anything, Normal sized consoles will be sold for 300, then they could release a slim ps3 for 400

they have to be. the 360 and wii arent close to the ps3. well sort of

Yup, a pretty, ok, Very powerful system. The only thing that puzzles me is the lack of RAM – 256MB of it. Modern day computers usually come with about 2GB of the stuff. Sometimes I think the PS3 could multitask more than it currently does

But doesn't a small RAM mean it can only run a certain amount of things at once? I mean if it had lets say 2GB of RAM, it would be nicely capable of browsing the internet whilst in game, and doing more multitasking things etc.
