I had been looking forward to ths game for a while hoping it would be as close to Gears of War that we would be able to play on the PS3, after playing the demo however i am a bit let down with it. To me it just does not seem to play aswell and the greyish suroundings are just boring, i know this is only from playing the demo but now i dont think i will be getting it till i can get it cheap. Am i the only one who was dissapointed after playing the demo?

I had the same impression myself which is a pity because, like yourself, I've been looking forward to this.
The scenery is boring. Every room in the demo was just an open space with a few cover pieces thrown in. Not one area felt like an actual “room” that might be used for something other than a shoot-out.
The movement is pretty poor as well. In today's motion captured world bad movement animations stand out immediately and just kill the polish in a game.
And I wasn't too gone on the combo moves with the missus. Any time I threw her at an enemy I ended up having to run through a hail of bullets to save the tart. If I do pick this up then I can see myself ignoring her for the whole game.

This demo was terrible. It actually disturbed me with how bad it was. Like I couldn't even find one thing good about this demo.
No one even bother downloading it. It will disturb you too!! Its like… more disturbing than watching a grown man trying to get pleasure from a camel. Yea. That sums up this demo.
UGH Im actually pissed off I played this! Everything 1773 said is true.. boring level, crappy animations. Just a bad game all together imo. Not very well made. They should have had more time to develop it and actually work on making a half decent game.

That's the most frustrating part. Some games are just shite beyond redemption and could never have been otherwise. But this actually looks like it could have been okay if it had been given proper time and a bit of imagination.
The story seems solid, the characters have potential (repetitive one-liners aside) and the background (game world) is interesting. And there's the odd thing done well to highlight how mediocre everything else is. The guns seem to have more effort put into their creation than the buildings!
And the enemies are just dull. Even the big guy at the end doesn't come close to being scary or impressive. And while taking down the big guy by finding his weak-spot is a tried and tested mechanic, it might be a little more inspired not to simply make it a crack in his armour… In his chest… The place he's likely to get shot the most…

Im actually glad i played the demo because it has saved me the £40 i would have probably spent on this dull, shitty, badly controlled, generic waste of space. That money will be better spent on the much superior Vanquish.

I actually cancelled my order for Vanquish after playing the demo. Very dissappointed

I think if the next few months weren't so crowded with releases I'd have kept it on pre-order but my wallets gonna get raped between now and Xmas!!
