Hey lads, I was just scrolling through the 'Coming Soon' section at GAME.co.uk and I spotted this. They have no info on it yet, not even cover art but apparently it's going to be 'Tools of Destruction' coupled with 'A Crack in Time'.

Has anyone heard anything about it? I already own both games but I'm wondering if there might be a trophy update for 'Tools…'?

no they are just re-releases together, like the resistence one. Look up resistance dual-pack on google and you'll find a whole bunch of articles about how they should of added trophies to resistance 1. Hope this helpsSmile

Yeah, I'm not so crazy about these double packs compared to the HD Collections. Like with Resistance, you could get the games cheaper by just getting them seperately. I might've sprung for the extra money if they added trophies to Resistance though. I'm still waiting for a Ratchet HD Collection…

Without trophies I think they're a complete waste. Like you said Seibei, you can get the seperate games for nuts they've been around so long. Resistance 1 pre-owned is about €1…

They also add a skin for the multiplayers or something, still not worth it, they are more meant for people who didnt play them, thats what I think anyway.

Yeah, the DLC they give you is just MP stuff and the MP is dead at this point anyway, so it's not really worth it. Although I guess if you had neither game and you couldn't find a used copy of one of them, you could get the dual pack for convenience. Seems like an oddly specific market though.

You get the Resistance 2 DLC and a skin for Resistance 3, I guess. I don't see anything for R&C being mentioned though. I think I might've known about the R3 voucher, but forgot about it. It's weird that they call it $10 of free DLC even though you do have to pay about $10 extra to get the dual pack.

Like most of you are saying, i really think Sony needed to include trophies with these double packs for them to work…

There is simply no reason to buy these… Why even release them??

The only way i could have seen Sony making money is if they had given exclusive trophy support to the double packs, rather than patching the games individually. They could have even made it a completely new trophy set,  thus negating some of the flak they would've gotten for having trophy exclusivity in the first place… It would have made the decision to buy them or not more difficult, as it stands they don't interest me one bit…

I would've def. bought the R&C double pack Laugh

I can't find a good source, but it is apparently quite a fcuk about to patch a game for trophy support…

Only insomniac said it was hard to patch trophies in, and they made the excuse thatg if they did it, it would take away some of the quality of resistance 3. I dont see how it would take away quality, considering resistance 3 doesnt seem all that good, imho. I liked r1 and 2 was okay but 3 looks like its not making enough change.
