GTA 4 was the last 'special edition' i bought and unless something really good comes with i wont bother , because i havent even listened to the cd or used the lock box for anything other than the stuff that came with the game. I think everyone who buys the MW2 prestige edition is going to be dissapointed with the goggles , pretty sure you will find that they work but not very well so should be fun for maybe a half hour.

no your wrong i'm afraid i've been following the release of this for quite some time and my uncle owns some EB's so i know exactly what i'm getting in it.

dude your uncle owns some of them? cool!
i hate special editions and think they're a waste of good money most of the time. i'd only buy it for games like fallout where u get more game content with the purchase. or if gow has an awesome special edition i'd get it because it's my all time favorite game

i just the ESPECIAL EDITIONS of games that i like the most
thats why i pre ordered
MW2 PRESTIGE ED.( i know a lot of u think itll suck but.. i dont care  )
also bought Devil MAy cry 4 Collectors Edition
so im a fan but just games i really LOVE

i thought it was worth it and i only bought it by accident as amazon didnt have any normal copies of the game left

well, i dont usually get s.e, but i did in fallout 3, purely for the bobblehead lol, wont bother with mw2, lol, NVG look gd, but…. a lot of money

I've got to admit I'm a sucker for them! If there's a Special Edition available I'm getting it! A lot of the special editions come with a steel tin and a making of DVD now. I'd really like to get something unique in the game as a result of getting the more pricey version though.

Agreed. I would have got the MGS4 special if I didn't already have a headset, and thats the only one that has ever seemed to have something useful or really cool in it. I'd get the prestige of MW2 if I was still fifteen, cause I wanted NVGs back then. no use for them here in the city unless I plan on becoming a burgler and buying a gun. Pre-Order bonuses are cool, if a game doesn't have them I usually wait and get a used copy for cheaper instead, since I've never come across a scratched blu-ray disc. soooo… no. In general, I do not like special editions.
