I went to the 'Siege of Limerick V' yesterday. It's a one day extreme metal festival held in the county next to mine.
25 bands playing across two stages for 14 hours. The two main acts I went to see were Wound upon Wound and Darkest Era but it was a great chance to see some Irish bands that I had never encountered before.
The venue was quality; huge bar; hot food counter and loads of seating for tired legs. The sound was perfect almost constantly (the one exception being some feedback during the Brigantia set, but they're shit anyway) and the crowd were awesome.
I think it needs to be mentioned that despite the amount of alcohol consumed over the whole day there was not a single fight or confrontation. A lot of people hold the impression that because metal is so aggresive it incites anger and hatred in the fans yet the behaviour was immaculate. I spent three years working in a nightclub and I can honestly say we never made it more than half an hour without some kind of fight breaking out.
An unbelievable day and I'm already counting the days to Siege VI. I'm hoping my neck muscles will have stopped hurting by then

I’ve been playing Mortal Kombat lol. I can’t stop, it’s so good… lol When I haven’t, I’ve watched two movies I’ve been meaning to and today like most I enjoyed the weather with my friend. Edit: the thread is called what are u you haha.

Reading about PSN being down and other related information… That and playing local co-op/V's  And drinking 
I hope PSN is back up by this weekend… It's a holiday Monday and the last holiday i have in a while, it would be nice to be back online

Rumours abound that Sony are going to offer some new features, such as Cross-game chat and in-game video chat as an olive branch once PSN is back up and running.

I've never been that bothered about XGC but I know a lot of people have been calling for it for a long time.
I've not been particularly put out at the lack of PSN as I seldom bother with MP.

Yea, definetly Mortal Kombat if you like that type of game. I personally LOVE it lol. And this one actually has a pretty good story not like the others, except Armaggedon.

There's been a lot of talk about Sony offering some sort of compensation for the outage but I can't see why they would. As Doc has mentioned in another thread; even the Pentagon was hacked into, there is no system that is totally impregnable.
Why would Sony have to apologise for there being assholes out there?

the answer is they wouldnt but it definately would be cool if they did. I honestly dont care if they do, i just want a safer psn which is what they are doing so….

just watched some of the press conference and everyone is getting some piece of “content” (game/dlc), and 1 month of psn + for EVERYONE. sounds good to me.

Presumably, those who are already PS+ members will get an extra month for free at the end of their subscription??
Getting back on topic I've finished off the SP for Bulletstorm, nearly finished KZ3 so will move on to MK then. Can't see me touching the Challenges as I'm shutting down my rental membership shortly. Rather be out in the sun (not that we get much of it in the UK and even less in Wales!!).
