Well as the topic says what's your Game of the Year?
I have a few choices for my GOTY (I haven't played every game of this year but most of the big and small hit games) and they are:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Dead Space 2
The reason I chose these games is because I had a blast playing them, loved the story it presented, and how much I had cared for these characters and what they were going through.

Still got Saints Row: The Third and Assassins to go but can't see either troubling my top three for the year.
Best PS3 games:
1) Batman: AC
2) Dead Space 2
3) Uncharted 3
Honourabe mentions to Deus Ex and LA Noire.
Best PSN game: Limbo. Awesome, awesome game 
Biggest dissapointment: Crysis 2  Wanted to love this game but really didn't enjoy ths at all! Only 2 more days and I can get the dedication trophy and sell it off
The game that everyones creaming themselves over but I won't go near: Skyrim 
Not being a fan of RPG or fantasy I'll give this a wide berth despite the fact its clearly a very good game

Assassin's Creed might be good but not looking forward to it all that much as I feel Assassin's Creed 1 was the best of the series.
Biggest dissapointment: Killzone 3
Skyrim is good but not my contender for GOTY. Haven't played Batman: AC yet but heard its worth the price tag.

So far my GOTY has to be Skyrim, although i have not played BAC or U3 yet, and i will withhold my final decision on GOTY until I do so
Disapointment of the year? Im gonna go with LA Noire. I got bored as hell with it about 10 hours in. WTF if a GTA style sandbox game without the ablity to kill people? IDK why this game go such good reviews it was nothing special IMO. 4 more 5 star cases away from another plat and i can forget i ever rented it

Alright so I've finally found some honorable mentions to give out and most surprising game I've played this year.
Honorable mentions (note that these games are not contenders but games that were good and surprising):
Resistance 3 ( a game that truly is the best storyline for an FPS that was overlooked. Shame.)
Homefront (another game that was overlooked and (i thought) was better than I thought for a low budgeted game)
LittleBigPlanet 2 (had not played the first but this game was at the time the most fun I've had playing a game but not one of the best sadly)
Most surprising game I've played this year (don't know when it came out) was Megamind. This game is not bad nor that good and worth the money. I wasn't not a pain to play through this game either and is not bad for a kids movie game. Btw platinum it in 4 hrs.

I can't decide between three of the best of the year. It's between batman, skyrim, and uncharted. All great games, and ones I will be playing for a long time.

Skyrim apparently wins Spike VGAs Game of the Year. I really wish BAC won but I guess it's better than Duke winning, right?

Runner Up – Batman AC
Most Disapointing – Batlefield 3 / LBP2 / Uncharted 3
The disapointing games were all good, but I just expected more and was very upset upon completion of each

My game of the year is Portal 2. Even without playing AC:R or U3 i can say for certain neither of them would pass it in my opinion. They may be able to take the number 2 spot but my favorite game and fondest gaming memories of the year without a doubt lie with Portal 2.

The first one was really good and WAS the best superhero game but I felt that the story was kind of lacking a little and just quick. Whereas BAC is a much more interesting story, more darker, more funnier, and just a whole lot of more and improvements. I was surprised by the fact that this game was a little better than I thought it would be. Thought that the story would be AA just with a dark theme, I was wrong.
