'Acti Blizz head Bobby Kotick’s said he may stop supporting Sony with software unless it drops PS3’s price.
“They have to cut the price, because if they don’t, the attach rates [the number of games each console owner buys] are likely to slow. If we are being realistic, we might have to stop supporting Sony,” he said.
Asked when Sony titles may be pulled, Kotick added: “When we look at 2010 and 2011, we might want to consider if we support the console — and the PSP [portable] too.”
Wow.
“Games generate a better return on invested capital on the Xbox than on the PlayStation,” he said.
Kotick added that Acti Blizz paid $500 million to Sony in royalties and other goods last year, which “probably still worked out at 400 percent of the profit they made”.'
Good. Last Acti game I bought was Spiderman: Web Of Shadows. Now that they sold the rights of Brutal Legend through to EA I'm even happier so f*ck 'em!
Of course this is a big bluff on Kotick's side, he wants the price to drop so people can buy more PS3's and more copies of Acti Blizz games. I really hope Sony says 'Good, we don't want you any way' and Acti Blizz's sales drop. Self righteous little snot bags.
Oh and for people about to mention Guitar Hero or Call Of Duty… I hate FPS' and Rock Band blows Guitar Hero out of the water

I don't know, I think Sony may drop the price about £50 or so… But with some of the great exclusives coming out this year if I didn't already own one I would be buying one!

Well…… I'm sorry, but if cod leaves the ps3 then i will be very angry.
Really, i think its just activsion not liking sony, i mean remember all the double points weekends on cod4 that xbox had a week early (i was told it was cos activision dont like sony) and so on….
Ps3s can be bought for £200, 80 gb, and that was just in store that i saw randomly (No looking around) an xbox from somewhere standard (this 1 purely for an average price on Game.co.uk) a premium console – 60gb harddrive is £170, + the elusive £40 for live to get online, ur payin £10 more for a 20gb smaller HDD, And will have 2 pay live in the future. confuses me 2 say the xbox is cheaper, its just a stereotypical view held by many against the ps3

Well….as far as i can see yes, ps3s are cheaper 
I think before i support this state,ment, further research should be done, its just when you walk into some shops which sell ps3s at £400 with a game, ppl take that as an average price.  I tend 2 look around before buying, so if ppl are ever on the net, pls have a look and try 2 find average/ cheap prices, and i think you'll find them comparitive with xboxs.

PS3 works out at a lot cheaper as a complete package. I'm not sure what the current price range is for 360 extras is but I know when my friend got his console he forked out an extra couple of hundred Euro to get the HD drive, wireless card and charger packs for the controllers. PS3 comes with all that as standard, so I can live with the price being slightly higher.

agreed! ps3 is worth the price. it doesn't need a drop in price.
i never liked medal of honor. i don't think it could compete with cod

Well… I don’t know baout Rock Band 2… As it isn’t our here in the EU yet… But Guitar Hero World Tour is better than Rock Band. But that is my opinion… reason why (Yeah I have a reason, I’m not going to say that it is better and just expect you to agree, actually I don’t expect you to agree with me even after I tell you why but that is becasue your intitaled to your own opinion too) is becasue, I think that the drumbs are a lot better in Guitar Hero… You can’t hear them as much, so you can hear the music on the TV without a wacking sound of plastic. But like I said, I haven’t played Rock Band 2 becasue it isn’t out here yet…

well they won't be cutting the upcoming releases if they're complaining about losing money. They already invested how many thousands in developing MW2 and whatever that “music” game is… it'd be really, really stupid to just cut those and make no return whatsoever on their investment. That said, the only thing that would concern me is if they cut support for DLC, they screwed us a little on the original MW, and it could be worse this time around.

Its bullshit, Activision wont leave, they just want attention. Why the hell would they?
They say the PS3 is lowest selling game system, but COD sell 10X better on PS3 then it does on Wii.
If they were going to stop making games for a system, it would just be the Wii.
All they want it is a price-cut.

they will make way more $ with the ps3 than the wii. activision support won't leave. there might be some exclusive dlc given to other consoles now but overall cod isn't gonna leave lol
