its definitely not impossible (IP and Service Tag Filtering) but i would think it to be improbable. Are you back online yet?

First of all You did think of connecting to your account on any of the other consoles didn’t you? Or disabling the system activation on any of them? Try setting up a new account with a different email address etc. to see if it is possible to sign in with another account on that hardware? These would be the first things i would do!
 
What did Sony say when you contacted them? The contact number should be in the back of the operators manual that came with the console.
 
The error code 8002a227 is irrelevant no matter what you are told, it doesn’t necessarily mean you are banned, it just means you were unable to connect to the PSN network. I have had this code a number of times, mainly when COD:MW2 was released!
 
The downloading of movies would not interfere with your PSN account, it may cause lag but they are not to know that its not a bad connection!
 
Account sharing is also not a cause, you are only allowed 5 accounts it is not possible to register any more accounts than that. Therefore Sony are allowing gamesharing with 5 consoles (pending change to 3 consoles although this will not affect those that have already set up there accounts on 5 consoles)
 
Abusive/Insulting/Threatening behaviour will however get you banned and depending how serious it is, this could be indefinite. Voice Chats can not be logged until a complaint is received from another account holder, Text chats are retrievable. A complaint would have had to have been made against you in order for this to happen.
 
Modding/ Chipping a console to cheat online is also a banning offense#
 
In any case that you are banned you are normally given a warning beforehand through your registered email account, you will not just get banned and not be told otherwise!
 
Buying a new PS3 will not allow you to add a banned account in any case so contacting Sony would be your only means of getting this ban overturned if you were in fact banned.

e-mails are great.  they will arrive to their destination within seconds. 

however, that doesn't mean it will be read by the person the moment it arrives.

solution? 

try phoning a sony ps3 representative for a more 'instant' solution.

they wont care about your age, my account says im supposedly 22, the person whom i poned just asked for my d.o.b heard it and didnt say a thing. just keep your cool, remember you boguht their console and their games if you cant get the most out of them because of sony then you have the right to complain

I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday and got lost with my lengthy post and forgot to say that but yeah that to me seems to be the most probable reason for you to get a ban. If i where you i would change your password for PSN log in and then no one on any of the other consoles can use your account but can still play the games.

OK, some info about the ban (must read if your banned)

-Your MAC adress is banned, the MAC adress cannot be changed

-You can sign-in to your account on another PS3

-Moving your PS3 to another house will not unban you, cause the MAC adress is banned, not IP adress

-UNconfirmed way of unbanning is deleting all users, WARNING this will loose all your games, game saves, un-synced trophies, pictures, music, videos,… pretty much everything. Remember… UNCONFIRMED

-The ban can last from 24h to forever

Thats pretty much everything I figured out. I jailbroke my iPhone so thats whats been replacing the PS3. But I played Borderland on co-op   BEST GAME EVER…. maybe

i have to ask, what did you do to get banned? and have you confirmed this is actually a ban, and not just that you've got your online settings wrong?

Not sure why im banned or if I'm evan banned!! My friend got banned on the SAME day. We gameshare, and we share accounts before the people change the pass. If Sony could look at our messages, the would be mad….

so your saying that you got peoples info for a gameshare then gave their info to another person/friend to also do a gameshare on the guys account without their knowing? well gamesharing is apparently frowned upon by SONY (which i dont personally believe) but that takes it to all new heights, supposing one of the people you did this with found out?, that would explain why both of you got banned the same day. I dont suppose you or your friend sent any cocky messages (i.e thanks for the games) to anyone? that would be the easiest way of getting caught that comes to mind…

however i may have mis read you wrong, if i have then ignore the post
