I can't sign into the psn network on my PS3 right now. Was fine earlier, now I keep getting the “you have been signed out of the playstation network” popup with error code 8001050F.
WTF!!!!!!!
Anyone else having this problem?
Also, 6 of my themes are showing up as corrupted data…

Don't know about the problem with your themes but one of my PS3s is getting the same error code.

Hit Google up, its WIDE spread, with ppls clocks set back in time to dec.31, 1999, ppl losing trophies, etc….
I thought I had gotten banned or something.

I've just searched the net myself and apparently it's routine maintenance. This looks true as some of the forums I came across had posts from the exact same date last year. It seems to be only knocking out the 60Gig model but it's causing a lot of hassle with trophies and corrupting themes.

Screw trophies, and screw themes.
It's corrupting my save files. I cannot access any of my old save files on any of my games. I'm not a very happy camper right now.

Looks like this is a widespread problem but I haven't checked my PSN yet. If I were you guys I'd play games offline with internet disconnected because your game may revert your trophies back to 0% or your save game might get corrupted because of this problem.

I just had the same problem happen to me. I can't seem to sign on for certain games and its taken a few games completely off my trophy list. Every game I try I seems to delete the game off my trophy list. I have an old 80GB machine.

Ok don't play any trophy games. Just stay calm, I have an old 80gb machine too. I guess right now we can only play offline non-trophy ps3 games…..Again stay calm im pretty sure Sony will fix this

Ya, I would advise not even touching ur PS3 right now lol. You don't know how much “damage” may be done.
With this downtime, I just watched Avatar…
Thanks alot Sony, thats 2 1/2 hours I'll never get back lol. (well, the last 30 some minutes were great)

4. Hacked

It's not a hacker at all man, the problem is with the console's and not the PSN at all, it's because they were programed to recognise today as 29th of Feburary but because it ain't a leap year the system has reverted back in time so come tomorrow it'll all be back to normal, unless sony release a patch but thats unlikely because we would not be able to connect to download it.

But if it was programed to recongnise today is the 29th, then how come the slim doesnt have these problems…Couldnt have Sony released a patch to fix that program “error” so that it would be in league with the slim?????
