OK, so my friend (from school) bought a game on PSN. He gave me the pass and e-mail and i logged it, I went to PSStore, download list and pressed Download. It says Activating… then An Error has occurred (80029780). Does anyone know how to fix this?

This either means you have too many users on your ps3, delete some and it should stop.
Or it is that you have deactivated and activated your system too many times in the past 24 hours. Make sure your system is activated though.
Its a gamesharing issue.
The number one solution to this is patience.. it should fix itself, if your system is activated, and you delete some users on your ps3.

anyway, Domba, just give it some time, if nothing happens, phone up sony. Since this is a gamesharing problem, you might have to tell them you gameshared, so they can get you the proper answer.

I dont think Sony should care , i mean they re still making money , and face it , many people still dont have credit cards or live in a region where psn cards still havent been released , example : I was reduced to nothing since i had no access to a credit card and psn cards still hadnt been released , tough luck Sony but when i want that Lbp Mgs pack i want that Lbp mgs pack

lol everyone jus has to ask themselves this…why would sony get mad for gamesharing. they put it on the ps3 for a reason.

I dont really see the reason for that 5 person error code either , i mean obviously PS3 knows and they can stop it over night if they really tried .

The worst thing that can happen is he can spend money from your account or just like F up your friends list Im like 99% sure you cant delete data or the account itself .

I found the answer, but it includes deleting everything off you PS3 (Save Date, Game Save, Firmware, Music and Videos, Games, Accounts…) And to me, its not worth it, so if anyone really wants to do this here you go.
P.S. READ EVERYTHING!

Domba – when you say delete everything, thats the answer for pretty much EVERY problem. In any issue, just clean out your system, and it will work.
I hate that solution. I never use it.. i usually just wait it out.
