I wa playing RE5 and when I completed the first level (again), the game froze on the ranking screen. So I restarted the system, but the screen wasn't showing the XMB icons (only that line appeared, the one that shows up when the ps3 gets started).
I tried restarting it by using the restoration method, but no results. Now nothing shows up on the screen.
I need help.

erm, When I had a problem like this (my bluray drive stopped working) I called sony.

Its most likely a problem with your bluray , you should send it in and they ll most likely give you a new bluray

I thought if it was a bluray problem then the system still works but you just cant play cds…

when my bluray went, i could use the hdd, but wheneva i tried 2 load a disc it said eroor- than a long error code

I had this problem. I called Sony and they told me to turn it off (from the back) and hold the on button the front tilll it blinks twice and a menu will open up and there will be choices. One will light up and click that one. I'm not sure if this fully correct tho 'cause it was like months ago when this happen to me so i can't remember everything.

yh thats what i mean… cuz the blu ray drive has nothing to do with the way the load up system works…
