i have a newer (fat) model ps3. the 2 usb port non backwards comp model. my reason for making this post is to inform people that this console and the ps3 in general are completely moddable. let me explain.
**mods i have access to**
a running emulator that includes consoles from atari 2600 all the way up to xbox 360. and by that yes i mean that you can play xbox 360 on the ps3.
access to making non backward comp consoles backwards comp. sony LIED to us when they stated that newer consoles would not be backward comp. all they did was make a patch in a firmware update that blocked us from being able to use it. if u dnt believe me go to create internal mem card and ul see that there is an option to still create a ps2 mem card.
anyways i am able to perform these services and would like to help anybody that i can. after hearing all of the talk of the ps3 not able to be hacked and whatnot i wanted to maKE A post to inform ppl that u can and i know how.
as i said my console is a fat model that is NOT backwards comp. however ive installed a 500gb internal hdd and partitioned half for my ps3 and the other half for the emulators.and am currently able to run almost every console emulator from atari to xbox 360. and i have also managed to amke my console FULLY BACKWARDS COMP AND IT WILL PLAY ALL PS2 GAMES. i do all this without even having to open the console. and it doesnt matter what version firmware u have either. after i do mod ur still able to be on psn and everything else. if anybody is interested please contact me. my psn id is XxTATTOOxX. and i would have no prob doin a vid chat and show u my ps3 playing emulators to prove that its real. and if anybody would like this service im sure we could work something out. my ps3 also has a clear case mod with over 50 blue leds inside of it and an upgraded blue led fan to prevent getting the YLOD. please contact me. have a good day
