According to the PS blog, the first batch of premium avatars are being released today, along with a store update. All the avatars will be based on LittleBigPlanet.

they are going to cost money, it says right beside the avatars in the link, but it looks very cheap. These avatars better look amazing, move, or have something amazing about them!

at only 20p per avatar in UK from the list i saw on that site, i wont mind, might buy 1 or 2 but nothing crazy unless it really appeals to me.

yup, looks like it'll be between $0.49-$0.99 each. I really don't understand why you would want to pay for one of these. I mean, yea 50 cents is like nothing,,, but thats laundry money dammit. Or a game of pool!

Yes, the new LBP content is releasing this week, but I believe thursday. I know I've posted quite a few links to this website in the past, but one of my favorite things is that they post the rumored upcoming content for every week's update. It includes confirmed, rumored, and coming soon. Check it out:

They've never really steered me wrong. Every Thursday they'll also post what was actually released in each region, including NA, EU, JPN, and the Hong Kong store.

@Antony – oh it is, but let it be noted that just because it releases thursday, doesn't mean you can play it thursday. The MAG open beta will be playable January 4th. They seem to have realized that its an enormous download, so are allowing it to be downloaded early.

These things are scams.. i figured out how sony does this now.
I had no money in my wallet, so i went to buy these one of these very cheap avatars. I look at the receipt to make sure im not buying anything else, and the damn store was going to add 5$ to my account!! The minimum amount you can put on your ps3 is 5$, so they pretty much make you pay all this extra money, and make you buy something else.. Basterds!!

i know i had $4.50 in my psn wallet and as it was a small amount i coudn't really get anything so it designed to get more cash out of you.But at least i got rid of it thanks to psn sales and avatars back to $0
