okay, so i was on it playing on COD4 with people from this site then in a game it just turned itself off and then the red light started flashing. i thought there was nothing wrong at 1st so i just turned it off by the back and on again then switched it on by the power button. i went back on COD4 and it did it again so i went back on and just stayed off a game 4 abit. a while later it happened again and now it wont let me on at all the red light just keeps flashing if i try and it still has my f***** COD4 disc in it which wont come out.
what do yous reckon i should do??

No he doesn't have the yellow line.
@ knoxie idk if you will pay, but when i called sony when my ps3 kinda got f-ed up they told me about this menu that repairs some stuff. So they will probably instruct you on that, if that doesn't work then you have to pay..

ok first of all where did you buy it from becaue they may have a 2 year store warentee
and if not then you pay sony $150 then they send you a box you put it in, say that COD4 is in it, and send it back. Then they send you either it fixed or replacement. The whole process takes anywhere from 1 to i think 3 weeks, it sucks it has happened to me.

i got it from a store called zavvi which is only an online shop now
how much is that roughly in pounds and will they give me COD4 back?
btw has anyone got any sites where i can find info on?

yes they do send COD4 back if you say it in it & a website should be on ur ps3 box mine was like playstation.us.com or something but it maybe different since you live in England

Sorry to heat that man. I read on another site somewhere that there is a way to force eject a disc out of a ps3 as long as it has power to it. So being that you still have power going to it (flashing red light) you should be able to get your disc out. How to do it though, i cant remember. I am sure you can google it though to find out.
