Back when I used to play MW2 it would say signed out at the top right of my screen but I could play on for about five minutes before I got kicked. I could actually go into my XMB and re-sign in and play on in the same game. It was actually quite funny.
emm.. I get signed out a lot just keep trying to sign in and if that doesn't work then turn your playstation on then off and try again.

@Knoxie
That happens me quite a bit. Usually when I turn on my PC with a PS3. My computer gives me a message telling me it's an IP conflict. The problem is just with the router.

Yea, its all router related. If I have my PS3, and another computer running, it would interfere. I just upgraded my router to this really fast one.. and its great! No interference at all, and I can have up to 5 devices at once. Pretty awesome.
As for getting signed out of PSN, its just Sonys problem. Everyone gets signed out randomly at one point or another. Its weird idk.
