All PS3 Trophies

Wow. I've just spent my last hour downloading the new PS3 Firmware update, the one that is supposed to include:

-Voice messages

-In-game/Cross-game Voice chat

-Quick Trophy reference and trophy details/history.

What do I find? None of this. What do you guys think of 2.7, the big dandy update with loads of cool new items? I'll tell you what I think, waffle. Complete waffle. The text chat is completely pointless, because we have messages, and I see no difference, the new “Sort By” option is just darn fustrating, and i'm yet to see the other downsides.

Oh and to add to the dissapointment, there's no in-game XMB themes either.

there was supposed to be a auto trophy sync whenever you earn a new trophy too, this would have gotten rid of any chances of the dreaded trophy sync prob i think. Also rumoured was in game internet broser but we might all want to note it was only rumours none of it was ever confirmed :_(

i guess we will get use to it but i think sony should start changing the annoying stuff rather than fiddling with what every1 likes/works well. For example the annoying problem where you go to read a message but the ps3 crashes causing you to do a manual reboot (hold power button for 7 seconds), also id like a feature where lets say you have a game which takes up loads of space because of its game data utility e.g gran turisimo 5 prologue (disc version) it takes up 6gb on my ps3 (or did i deleted it recently), id like to be able to throw that over to my external hdd so if i want to use it again rather than download+install all other again i would simply have to install it off the external hdd (not sure if it will ever be possible though)

The text chat feature is ok…for the first three messages. Then you realize that you only have a certain amount of letter that you are able to put in there. Also i found out that it bleeps outbad words (which is a good idea i think), but when i go to tell my friend that im getting trophies for Fallout 3, the message comes up as *****ut 3. I guess i must have said something bad in another language… But all in all I dont really like the update. Sony should have done better

In all honesty ALL of the previous updates have been crap. Sony really isn't putting the right effort into anything they do, haha. I love my ps3, but I would love it more if Sony would fix all the problems, but they seem to add to the problems rather than fix them.

actually havin played SR2 4 around 4 hrs with my m8 with headsets turned off. the chat rooms are handy. and theres no (please wait) pop up neither

sounds like a stupid update. Well i guess i have to wait till i get my ps3 back and check it out by myself.
