i do a lot of texting and messaging on my ps3 and i was wondering if anyone thinks its worth getting

I text alot too on the ps3. I am not sure. I don't have one, but I plan on trying one out after christmas. It would make my life a million times easier.

It's a good alternative if you don't want a regular keyboard. Not as fast as writing on a regular keyboard but beats having to use the “software keyboard”.

There is a guy on amazon.co.uk selling them for £17.99 incl shipping which is a very good price, don't think that will be beaten… and yeah i also fancy one myself, just unsure how it will change the feel of your controller when it's clipped on…

well i have got one of these. just yesterday i think they are outstanding. the controller has almost no difference in weight. plus you can scroll the internet with it.
Also very easy to use i defenatly recommend

I have had one for a couple of weeks, and they are really good. You can also push a button and turn part of it into a mouse pad.

personally i think they are ghastly. i have a logitech wireless keyboard hooked up to a USB switch so i can use it for my PC and my PS3 at the press of a button.
for me, it's nothing else but.

ive got a usb keyboard plugged into my ps3 but it has to go on the floor coz im outa space for it which means i have to move 2 foot every time i want to type something on it which is far too much work!!!  I'm going to buy one thoe because i had one on my 360 andit just made everything easier

i wanna get a wireless keyboard cuz i got a wired one and i have to go right up to the tv to use it… how much is one of those wireless keyboards ( in $ if possible lol )

it depends on how good the keyboard is.
i got a logitech s510. i love it. have used it for years now.
you need to make sure the keyboard is compatible with ps3 if you do buy one.

Well i went ahead and got myself a keypad and i like it but its not easy to type, i'm hopeing that i will get used to it like i am my mobile phone, people who have fat fingers you don't have a chance of being able to use it… i'm a bit gutted you have to charge it seperate to you ps3 pad… i thought it plugged into the pad or something, nevermind it's still a nice little extra

I've got one and i like it very much…..i might go out and buy a wireless keyboard like shadeblack…..maybe.
Has anyone here had a problem with controller response when having the keypad attached? its happened to me once…..
I was playing prince of persia hanging off a ledge…..i was about to wall run over to the next ledge but my left anologue stick wasnt working?….my right one was just not my left……as soon as i removed the keypad it worked!?
Weird i know…..i put the keypad back on and i havn't ran into that problem again….yet.

Not had a problem myself, but I generally use the keypad separately, I don't always have it attached when typing.

I got mine for about $80 australian.
Its handy but if ur willing to fork out a bit more cash its probably more worthwhile to get a wireless keyboard.
The buttons are very small and most times i mispell words because my fingers hit the one next to the one i want. Then i have to go back and correct it. I'm anal like that lol.
It's faster than the generic controller but nowhere near as fast as a proper wireless keyboard….
