people may not have asked how to mod but that doesnt mean that they do not want to know. do you like work for sony or something that u have to get all defensive? go and take your bickering elseware because i do not want to hear it, if i wntd to hear ur opinion idve asked for it. idc what u think about. if i help one person than i have done what i wanted.

No, I don't work for Sony. I just use quite a few of their products and services. And when people like you mess around with their stuff and then stupidly promote it on the net then these products and services end up with more restrictions and red tape.

The world of PC gaming has been crucified with DRM and various security methods because people like you took the piss. 

When we reach a point where PS3 games can only be played while connected to the net I'll think of the “help” you gave.

And if you're thick enough to have claimed you modded a PS3 and put up your proper PSN ID (you might as well just send Sony a letter asking them to ban you) then I can't see anyone here putting much faith in your technical abilities.

ive been using this site for quite a while and i have never been treated soo poorly. but anyways ill be posting the link for my vid 2nite as soon as i finish the video, and ill be explaining how to do clear case mod and leds. and if anybody wants to know how to mod it they can pm me on psn. and the way that i look at it.. i payed $600 for my first ps3 and $300 for my 2nd, and $210 for tho one i have now, so ill do whatever i want to them. ive payed well enough and the consoles dont have warranty anymore so imma mod away. you haters can think what what u want but deep down i know that you all want a sweet ps3 like what i have… 

and one more thing.. how can stating my psn name get me into trouble with sony? all of these mods are softmods and are %100 undetectable. **you people saying otherwise are the ones that dont know what you are talking about**

And, you're just saying things that no one has picked up on, like stating how much you payed for the consoles. 

And actually, the mods like that are detectable. The case has a link to a special chip inside and if they are more than 1mm away from each other they send a signal out to a satellite and then the satellite sends a signal to Sony HQ that tells them someone has modded the case.

regardless how much i paid for my consoles i own them to do with them what i want. and you have no idea what mods i have or how they were performed, your just some little kid downstairs on your moms pc in her basement eating a bag of cheetos thinking that your cool by telling me theres a special chip in my console thats going to get me banned? grow up dude, just because i have something that you dont understand doesnt mean that you have to go to extreme lengths to try and make me seem like a liar.

i never offered to do anything for money. i posted my psn for ppl to get ahold of me that were interested in modding. and all i plan on doing is showing ppl my mods and that they are real and if the person would like i would offer to show them where i got the content and explain to them how to do what it is that they want to their ps3. like i stated before im only here to help and explain mods to people that are interested. 

and i think that if i followed tutorials on youtube then the console that i have wouldnt be so unique. idk bou you but ive never run into a useful youtube turorial regarding what i have. but tonite i will be posting videos that fully explain everything. because im tired of ppl posting half ass vids about it. 

and i have multiple accounts from diff countrys so i doubt that theyd ban my account for a petty clear case mod and some leds… they should only be so happy that i got so creative with their console, lol. nothing ive done is illegal anyways, i own the console and all ive done is use the features that sony gave me when i bought the console to the fullest of its ability.

Okay, I'm not normally one to back-track but a quick glance back over this thread leaves me with the impression that maybe Tattoo is getting a little more flak than he deserves. 

The double thread is bollox and it's never good form to try and circumvent the admin, but apart from that I don't think he's posted anything too antagonistic. 

My initial reaction was based on the fact that I hate anything being hacked (and thus fcuked for everybody) but re-reading the posts it actually sounds like he's not doing anything illegal as he's not touching the firmware. Changing the casing of a PS3 is kind of like putting stickers on it so that form of 'modding' is pretty harmless. 

Also, the partitioned hard-drive probably has another OS to run the emulators so he's really only using the PS3 as a medium rather than altering it's core make-up.

Let him throw up his vids and if people don't want to look at them then they won't and if admin has a problem with anything then he'll delete it in his own time.

thank you sooo much for explaining it like that. that is exactly all that i did. i have another os installed, with emulators and roms, bckwrds comp, and case mod. i dont know why people are hating on me because of it.. and the reason why the last thread was locked is becauseof language toward kingofgames… the guy that is like 14yrs old and whom ive deleted off my friends list due to him being immature months ago.. that explains his haste towards me. but the whole reason for posting is bacause everybody was always all about yellowdog linux or ubuntu… and ive never really seen anybody do straight up console emulation on the ps3 and since i actually got it to work i figured id share my treasures to let ppl know what exactly ur able to unlock using sonys os feature. i did not think that i would have ppl saying to ignore me or anything like that. its almost weird to me that ppl react that way, i think that its because of their disbelief toward me having what i have. 

and since my posting ive had pleanty of believers mssg me asking how to do it and chatting with me, its nice to be able to share this info with ppl. im just tired of all the skeptics.. case modding and emulators aernt for everybody so i completely understand why some ppl would get defensive like they are. but believe it or not a majority of ppl find it quite interesting and it brings me great satisfaction that ppl see my ps3 and want theirs to be like mine or have the features that mine does.
