I've been having trouble lately with the music player on my ps3 and so I decided to come here to see if anybody has had similar problems. The trouble i'm having isnt major but is very very annoying, with some songs I play it can't seem to play some more high pitched guitar notes. For example: with the song 'Room 409' by Bullet for my Valentine, it cant seem to play the guitaring for the first 8 or so secs of the song only the drums however it does play the next riff…and so, has anybody else had this problem or anything similar?

Yeah I recently put some music on my iPod, only to find out it wasn't working right. I thought it was the iPod because it was brand new, I thought maybe it was faulty. So I went and checked the copy on my computer and it wasn't working there either. The CD I ripped was scratched lol.

No its not downloaded, its been ripped off of the original CD, I'm sure its the playstations fault because my mp3 player can play it just fine…quite a few songs do it actually. Also I'm talking about playing music off the hardrive not CD's.

Ninjacat – lol nice..

Knightmare – so you saved your music on your hardrive, and now it doesnt work.. If you play it from the direct cd, do you get the same problem?

The best advice i can give here, is to check what format the audio is in, after its burned onto your HDD. Maybe its some really odd format, happened to me once it was some DDFG file, or something like that. If its just a regular format, try deleting the songs, then putting them on again.

Hope that helps.

you'd be better off keeping music of the internal hard drive and setting up a media server… that's if you are able to do so though.  luckily, I am, but i guess for others it's easier to keep a copy on the HD.

if you're able to, try converting the songs on a computer to a more standard file. mp3, wav, etc.

ConfusedI just tried out CD's and they work fine, and all the either MP3 or WMA format, it seemed to start doing it around the time I installed v2.76 before that it was fine…I'm at a loss now
