I was getting frustrated with the amount of CRAP missions you have to do in Spiderman 3 to get on with the story. I especially hate that ridiculous Thrill Rides you have to do for Mary Jane. So I went to gamefaqs.com and downloaded a US and EU save file. I saved them on a USB device, inside a SAVEDATA folder inside a PS3 folder. Alas, none of them worked so I erased them and copied my original save file back onto the system. But it didnt load either!! Has anyone done something like this yet? If so am I doing something wrong?

Well the saves might have been profile locked. They can be copied but will only work with the original profile.


As for your own file not working, I've no idea why that might happen. Maybe you'e messed up the profile recognition (or something) and it's treating your own save as foreign, the same way as the others.


Not sure what those links are for, but as two of them seem to refer to the Jailbreak then I've no intention of clicking on them. If those are the sort of sources you're getting saves from then you're bound to have (deserved) problems.

If I have learned anything from my time working in the service industry it’s that for quite a few people, the basic theories behind the use of a toilet are absolute mysteries…
