I don't really see a point on speculating on this too much. First off, we definitely have another 6 years to go before this comes to reality, unless Sony has been lying for the past 15 years about their life cycle plans, which I doubt. Also, the article talks about how they've shredded through 2 design plans already… so I wouldn't be surprised if this changes again a few times in the next 6 years. If anything this is simply evidence that Sony is here to stay,,, unless they screw up royal.

yeah i would like to use my ps3 a little longer before a new one came out, and plus, what could they put on a ps4 that they can't apply to a ps3? cancer screenings built in?

i don't they won't bring it out for a least 5years min as in a biz sense sony would be commiting suicide if they did it as they are yet to still make a profit off the ps3
nintendo would be more likely to bring out a new console as they are making millions if not billions on their wii as its cheap to make and still selling really well
