was reading a newspaper today and it was really funny to read kevin mckidd saying he was paid 900quid to voice soap in mw2 when it made 550 million dollers in its 1st week and hes undecided whether to sign up to mw3
what to you guys think of him being payed so little for such a massive game?

Well, first off.. its a video-game voice over.. no one expects big money out of it.
However, you can say that he could have been paid a lot more for his efforts.. oh well.. more money to the developers i guess!

its like what haapened with the gta4 voice acters they were paid a tiny amount compared to what the game made

i think nolan north probably got paid a bit more, if we take into account that he also did motion capture and was a bit part in directing the scenes and improvising on the spot script changes.
Absolute criminal that he got paid that much! But as has been said, that's Activision for ya!

im not that bothered about it its only voice acting. any one could have done it. i just wish the game was a bit better

i though north was actually considered for the role of drake because he actually kind of looks like him. is this completely out of the question now? the only reason i see (from a major studio's perspective) for not putting him in it is because not many people know him that well outside of the video game world.

That wikipedia page says that he's in a few tv series and movies, so he's well known enough. If they did the movie without him, they could just get an actor that looks like Drake and have Nolan North speaking while the actor lip-syncs  .
