I was wondering if anyone heard any news on whether or not HOME will be coming some sort of update that allows your trophies to be displayed in HOME? Ive heard rumors a while back and wasn't sure if they were true.

wen Home has its full release (its currently in ‘open beta’ mode) trophies will be patched, along with an entire space dedicated to your trophies. it’ll be something like that huge sphereicle room on the X-men movies, only with walk ways and different rooms.
this is based on wat ive read all through the 2 years of anticipation. so expect a different sort of “trophy cabinet” as Home has drastically changed since the original designes.
also i know 2 trophies that will be patched.
1: leave a sony TV fall down th stairs.
2: visit a certain space and do an activity in that space
Home WILL NOT have a platinum, however, as Home expands into new spaces along with new attractions, newer trophies will be patched.

Are you saying that HOME itself will have trophies based on what you have in your house and what you do in HOME? The spherical room sounds like a good idea. Will other people be able to go into your trophy room?

From what I've heard (again only rumours dated a while back) other people will indeed be able to go into your trophy room and view your accomplishments.
When this will happen, if at all, is another question entirely.
As of right now,I'm over home. We were promised so much and given so little. Take a look at the home trailers before home came out and then compare it to what home actually is now. 
…Not to mention the creepers who have nothing better to do then stalk the people who have girl avatars  lmao.

Yeah the stalking is funny. I actually made a girl avater to see how it feels and 5 guys were just following me around then when i changed back to a guy they ran away XD.

PPL i really cant stress this enuff. Home is still a BETA. this means its a type of demo. officially it hasn't been released yet.

Given the cercumstances of Home i'd say its official release will be towards the end of the year probably the start of 2010

look , home sucks. simple as that. its a crap social utility , makes money for sony by selling virtual objects… plain silly. considered downloading it again when EA opened and stuff , 'cuz Home would be ok as a place to try demos whatever , but just cant be bothered….
and as for the idea just above where a plat = something in home , i think plat should be an extra item in the new game…. like i got killzone 2 plat , and it should unlock either a costume or a weapon in the next killzone..that would be cool.

I like HOME for the simple fact that I can chat and keep in touch with friends in other parts of the country. I dont agree with Sony's idea to make people pay for virtual items and stuff, but you have to remember, Sony is giving us HOME for FREE. they are continuously adding new things (XI, new locations, etc) and it cost us nothing. I dont know about you guys, but I like the idea of having a world like HOME for free, even if there are idiots on there who like to stalk you. Those are the people who suck at playing online and feel that this is their way of getting back at those players.

let me answer- 2.7. ok i admit it was rumours but SONY really need to think about some of those ideas, in-game chat would be useful, auto sync with new trophies would get rid of the synch problem i believe and there was loads more supposedly coming…….But then again SONY do like to delay everything (just like other companies) for example, the ps3 itself, dualshock, games etc. So thats why its called the Delay Station 3 (lol)

okay , its free , so is herpes and i dont see people rushing to get that…lol.
 but i get your point , although sony does it free because they get paid by someone else (ie. red bull ) or by their in-home sales, the price isn't the reason i dont like home , i find it pointless. but hey thats just me.
to stay in contact i use the chat modes of the ps3 .

herpes…? really? you think HOME is that bad? yeah they do get paid by red bull and other companies, but i still think Sony is really trying hard to provide something new and innovative to gamers.

no , i dont think its that bad….
and whilst i dont like it (i find nothing in it 4 me so far) , i certainly appreciate Sony's efforts , free Home and especially free online , unlike microsoft.
