How do you charge the PS Eye? Is it battery run? or is there a USB Cable that comes with it?
Thank you in advance!

I have EyePet, you use a cable, no batteries needed. You only get a camera and a manual.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to get Eyepet, but it's not available in the US yet. It comes out in a bundle in March 2010 and I'm definitely getting it.
I asked because I have a Energizer Charger Station that has 4 USB Charging Slots and I was wondering if I could charge it in their.
When I use the PSEye, does the USB Cable have to be plugged into the PS3, or does it just have to be charged and registered to your PS3?

Its just plugged in to the PS3. Camera-Cable-PS3 And you can't take the cable out of the camera, so the camera and cable are like 1 part.

So it basically never needs to charge. Am I correct?

you cant charge the eye toy, to power it on you just have to plug it in. then go to camera settings. ive had the eye toy since i got my ps3. i bought a used copy of a game called eye of judgement from my local gamestop for $15, it included game and eye toy. id say thatd be your best bet to buy one. cuz i think there $35 for just the camera.. idk though. on the psn store theres an application that u can download for the ps eye. it lets u take pictures and create movies all with the ps eye. check it out.

which by the way – if you haven't bought it yet, I would continue to wait. Currently there is very little in the way of media that supports the Eye, I think theres 3 PSN games, The Eye of Judgement, and now Eyepet, and thats it. However when the PS3 wand is released, there will be lots more media that uses it, and the wand requires the Eye. As a result, I would expect some sort of camera/controller bundle to be released, and it might save you money to wait for that. At least, thats what I'm banking on, cause I'd be really surprised if they didn't bundle those, especially with a game.

Yes, PSEye isin't popular, it has about 5 games in total. I got it un-expected (St. Nicholas) but I like it, it picks up every signal really fast, it doesn't lag, it just needs a little too much light. I can't wait for the Motion Controller, people say it will fail but it looks brilliant to me!

That is very true. Eyepet for example was released at the wrong time of year in the UK, cause by the time you get home from work/school etc its starting to get dark and the camera just can't pick up any movement. Basically meant we could only use it at weekends. It really prefers daylight over artificial lighting.
Very frustrating

I thought it was just me but it looks like you have the problem too. I found a easy way to fix it but its not perfect. Put a big lamp next to the TV and ajust it to be perfect lighting, it does go into your eyes but hey it works. Or you can just hold your Magic Card a little up, so its kinda facing the roof, where your light is.
