yeah well i played the demo, and apparently dante's inferno is a carbon copy , and with those in mind im not that keen to pick up any of them.
Im sure it's a good game (considering the great reviews it has) but it's just another hack and slash to me and i just dont like the genre enough.

I can see how it appears that way, and while true that you are constantly hacking and slashing, the thing that makes GOW so great (for me anyway) is the combat dynamics. If you go on any difficulty above normal (and even on normal for the new one) and just go button tapping You Will Die. You have to pay careful attention to your enemies movements, as they betray when an attack is coming, requiring a dodge or block. Certain moves you do can't be interrupted by dodging or blocking, but they are more powerful, so you have to choose carefully when to use them. Add in the fact that you fight numerous enemies at once, and it becomes quite the challenge. This is one of those games where the combat style really shines on higher difficulties, but on the lower ones it won't seem like anything special. To each his own, but I do think its odd you say it doesn't interest you, but your signature is about Kratos.

Ha yes i thought someone would pick up on that , while i might not be a fan of the game i cant fault the character .
Anyway this thread has gone from bad to worse but it was nice to see minimal flaming , that's a good sign.
