Now I've played it a bit and I can say it lives up to my high expectations! It's really good already, but of course it has a few flaws but since it's so long until the release they'll have plenty of time to fix these issues 
So I can promise you'll not be disappointed by it

Can't wait, I loved Liberation on the PSP, and the trailers for this do look very good.

Yes GoW 3 will be out in 2009. Along with Resident Evil 5, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 (unfortunately), and again they are trying to release FFX 13 this year as well (but they said that for 2 years now).

God of War 3 or Uncharted 2 will win GOTY 2009 for sure
Killzone 2 is FPS, so i dont think it would
RE5 looks Amazing but Uncharted 2 will beat it…… Uncharted is an exclusive, meaning its TWICE the size / scale of RE5

Oh I love fps games, but my god there are over 100 of them for the playstation 3. I am getting sick of them ALOT because they ALL are essentially the very SAME game over and over again. The only difference between Killzone 2, R2, CoD 4 and 5, and the other hundreds of them are the images and stories (though some of them are the same too). We need more of the “old school” resident evil games to be created to ensure the PS3 stays the greatest system on the market. Sony needs to ensure that resident evil is their “exclusive” title like it once was. We need more rpg games. Fallout 3 is “alright” but my god it takes forever to get one quest completed, and the story line is not that excellent. We need more final fantasy game, and we need the PSN game titles to actually be “good” like super stardust hd.
Yes Uncharted will automatically win the GOTY for 2009 if it doesnt fall behind in production. I wished it was RE 5 bc a game of that calibur should be top of all games. Sorry but I really needed to vent all of that.

To be fair, there are a lot of shooters out there, but then they are the most popular type of game around. As for being the same as each other, using that logic you could say the same thing about movies etc.

quite simple really. Look at MGS4. That game cant even fit on a 360 disc. Kojima siad it would take 3-5 360 discs for it to be available on Xbox.
its all because of BLU-RAY. if Uncharted 2 takes up even 90% of the blu-rays disc capacity, it will be a bigger game. RE5 is on 360 and ps3, so it probably wont even be using 30% of blu-ray, because they have to put the exact same game on 360 and ps3.
Still, RE5 looks amazing.

Killzone 2 better be in full high def 1080P…..its been in the making for so long it would have to be in full hi def to really let its graphics shine! I hope it is anyways……apparently gow 3 is fulll HD too! All games should support 1080P…..its one negative i have about owning a ps3….most games are only 720P…:(

Yes they are the same and different. They all have the same concept. No new ideas to incorporate into these lame fps guidelines. It is horrible. There are no excuses for these developers to keep putting this trash on the market. CoD 5? R2? They were trash. All fps titles have the same concept (shooting, no puzzle solving while shooting or anything), lame weapons (yes ALL fps weapons have been VERY lame), poor controls, and most of them have horrible graphics.

agreed parnakas but apperently capcom are going to put extra content on ps3 because of the big space something like making of or stuff with Great quality

Puzzle solving would be crap in a FPS. There should be more strategy to it, like moving your troops into different places.

In OPM's review they also say that because Killzone 2 is PS3 only, they can really push the hardware, because they don't have to limit the game for 360.
A very good interview in the same issue with Kazuo Hirai, the head of Sony Computer Entertainment. He very tactfully slags off the 360!
Also a feature on Pioneer's latest invention – the 400gb BluRay!!!
