ok seriously…….. who here really thinks that guitar hero and real guitar have any similarites? As a real guitar player, i will tell you that they are nothing alike.

I saw something about this in the GH:METALLICA trophy list.

Its always pissed me off that people say they are the same, when they have NO similarites other then the shape… People play dragonforce songs on EXPERT difficulty, and then think it that dragonforce's guitar players are the best. Dragonforce's guitar players are probably the WORST guitar players on the planet, there songs are 2 notes, then using syths, and effects pedals… Not saying Dragonforce sucks, but im just stating some facts….People also play Number Of The Beast, (which is a pretty tricky song to play on real guitar) on expert and get 5 stars. So, a kid decides to buy a real guitar and expect to be able to play it within a few days.

Seriously people i hope no one here actually thinks they are the same.

Guitar Hero: A strum bar, basically 1 string

           5 Frets, buttons actually

Real Guitar: 6 Strings

            22 – 26 Frets

i do agree playing a real guitar requires skill and ability not just keeping your hand in one position and moving your fingers the only skill you need to play guitar hero is moving your eyes from one side of the screen to another. I myself like guitar hero i play on expert and play the guitar but that requires skill!!!!!

i confirmed myself now that the real guitar is harder than the controller well shouldn't have doubt i mean EVERYTHING on games it's easier on real life well i wasn't planning on get one anyway one the gamer one 'cause i love rock and video games put then together was an awesome idea! well just a lill question did you parnakas did this topic because of mine? just askin…

the two aren't comparable at all.

but saying that, one isn't harder or easier than the other.


My mate plays the guitar and says guitar hero is harder.

while my other mate also plays the guitar and says guitar hero is easier.

and then myself, whom cannot play the guitar at all, play guitar hero and rockband quite naturally on hard and expert. 


What do you take from this?  is either one hard or easy?  some people are naturally better at certain things than others are at the same thing.  that's all there is to it.
