All PS3 Trophies

I feel that some new members leave because of the arguing and lack of any real structure to the forum… It can't be that hard to bring some order and contribution to your own site?

I stayed because of the fighting.

A forum issues thread is needed though.

If admin does't want to wade through useless banter and angsty teen tantrums, he should start a thread where complaints can be made about anything to do with the site.

He can then pop on and read the one thread, which will get him up to speed with the new cliques and bitch fights, and hopefully fill him in on who's causing trouble so that action can be taken.

Even if he rarely checks the thread, seeing someone complain about you in it, should be enough to end whatever was going on, or hopefully reignite the argument so I can join in.

I find lately I miss all the good tiffs, so having a thread where I can go to find them without having to read all the in-between crap would be lovely.

@Mojo, just find another forum, seriously. You want arguments, go elsewhere. We are all clubbing together now, as you can see, to help this forum out and stop the arguments. I am not trying to start an argument here, just telling you, warning you if you like, that we want APT to thrive. Not get dragged down by people like you. 

Oh and the whole “Admin does nothing” business I have to agree with. He is often absent, but of course he has a life. A job, perhaps a wife. That's why there needs to be a couple of guys on here, not many, 3 or 4, just to keep it in order while he's not about. Then problems like this could be resolved much quicker and the forum would be a much happier place. I would gladly volunteer myself as a moderator if it decided they are needed. But it's admins choice whether he thinks we need them or not.

Dont put this on the admin, we shouldnt need an admin to sort out our arguments, if you cant  fight it till it's sorted then just leave it alone.

 Also how did he get a pic of you and you GF (i dont know if it is) but if you added him on facebook or let him know who you are to find it then it's your own fault.

 So why dont we try and be more about the games and there trophies, cause that's what this site is about isn't it ?

and that's the price you pay for posting your facebook in there, your giving people access to your personal life.

I think Admin does a good job for one person, you don't like the site then there are other sites to use simple as that really. You want to come here for the fights(anybody)then your a sad excuse for a human and most fights are over pretty quickly so feeling the need to join in and flame is PATHETIC. I guess this recent tiff  has shown how out of hand shit can get but Admin resolved the matter and we can all move on from it now. Butterflies and Rainbows and such….

suggestions:

lock this thread.

cut the crap about each other.

cut the pointless posts about nonsense.

learn to grow up, and don't over-react over something someone else said.

I mean c'mon… Forum Rules:

Common Sense.

if you can't stick to that one rule, don't come on at all.

And Admin, don't be afraid to immediately BAN someone for a week or two if they do something stupid.  If it causes further trouble, Disable the entire forum for a week.

He will hopefully not missuse some of the forums functions again such as the avatar and sig function to harrass another member.

One last post to respond to the Admin…

Firstly i do like it here, that was never an issue. And i will be back.

And to tell us to “get our fact's straight”, when NO fact's were given in an official post is a bit… well… Cheeky really isn't it? With nothing official to let us know what was going on, people will say what they see, and it did look like a ban. It seems that if i had not made any point of this in the first place no further action would have been taken? “Power to the people” is a good notion until people abuse that fact.

I do not have any personal issue with the Admin, as he mentioned, this was only creative criticism at the lack of structure. This is your site and your responsibility ultimately…

The Admin does do his job, when you PM him or get in touch, that i can't disagree… But, IMO, he should be more active without needing called upon… I do like talking with everyone here, however much i may disagree sometime's… I don't want to just repeat myself so i spose i'll leave it at that.

See you all, hopefully, in a couple months time  

@Doc-B – if you look back, he definitely posted earlier that he was NOT banned, and that it was under review.  Thems the facts.  And your issue you mentioned earlier, and the big issue here: arguing – can we solve it on our own? – is normally Moderated by a Moderator.  Thats the point of having them.  I realize we're all about freedom of speech, but a moderator can end stupid arguments quickly, without having a 3 page discussion of it first.  Which would let us talk about what we're really here for – video games.  If everyone is against a moderator, then everyone needs to stop fueling fires. An administrator has other things to do, like update the actual website, and keep the forum operating, etc, etc.  The admin shouldn't have to police us, and if he apparently does, then we need a moderator.  And the moderator needs to be a neutral party, which is probably why admin doesn't post too much, he/she probably realizes why its important to stay neutral.

@Supergayjay – Those rules were taken from a much larger forum with many many more active members than here, and its also a game developing company… so their rules are a little more strict, since they don't want bad PR.  What I really wanted people to take from the wasn't so much the spelling and grammer, but the idea of staying on topic, posting something that actually contributes to the topic at hand, and the idea of how moderators operate if they exist (by giving warnings, and a points system that classifies if you get banned, and for how long).  I wasn't in any way saying that these rules should be implemented here, I just wanted people to read them and think about it.  Plus, I understand not every one here speaks english natively, so I don't expect perfect spelling and grammer.  However, we have had posters in the past that write things in an atrocious manner, by replacing all their e's with 3's, and stupid crap like that.  Please don't do that (I doubt you will). 

Anyways, thats the last I have to say on this stuff… I hope.
