I watched Braveheart last night. – SORTA SPOILERS!

It's an abnormally long movie – pushing 3 hours but every minute is worth it.

It does a great job at being historically correct, the only hole I found was Edward I's death was in his bed in London rather than on his way to a a battle, but if you watch it then you will know why that was done.

The movie is still what it was from the beginning of release, but I was extremely dissapointed with the DVD/Blu Ray release having no Special Features at all. As much as I love James Cameron, even I find it a bit greedy for him to release such a movie with no features at all, considering the loads of money he made off of it. In November a four disk Special Edition will be released with hours of special features, so I think its probably a best bet for everyone to wait till then if they plan on owning the movie.

Godfather 1 & 2 – I still love these movies so much, the acting and dialogue is just sublime. Excellent movies. And Godfather 2 is still the greatest sequel ever made!!

This is becoming a lot more common. I wouldn't blame Cameron too much though. Chances are it was a decision made by the publisher.

Quite a few new releases have been dumped on us with zero features because there's some “Ultimate” nonsense being released a few months later. The Lord of the Rings trilogy did it. They released the theatrical cut first and the extended editions will come out towards the end of the year.

In the gaming world we're well used to multiple versions of a product being thrown at us but we usually get a simultaneous release so we can choose the standard or limited/special edition ourselves.

Firing out a 'film only' release is just a way for publishers to make die-hard fans pay twice for something.

If I have learned anything from my time working in the service industry it’s that for quite a few people, the basic theories behind the use of a toilet are absolute mysteries…

1773 and W4R – I think the reason these publishers release all the great stuff later on in the year for one simple reason. Holiday Season. All the nice special editions and stuff always tend to come out just in time for Christmas, or in January, right after the holidays, so everyone can use the new money and spend it. Its pretty annoying.

But on-topic now, I think I am going to watch Iron Man 2 tomorrow, so I'll be sure to tell y'all how it was.

emdeepee – yea I figured I would bring some redneck back to this site, seeing as Cory isn't on as much anymore..

Just watched Iron Man 2.

Ok, its good, but the ending fight was such a disappointment, and was so predictable. Overall though, it was a decent film, worth watching if you liked the first one, but I don't think it was as good as the first one. It was definitely entertaining though.

Iron man 2 was absolute shite. I was being force fed stupid.

The dialogue was nothing but waffle which went on for far too long, and generally went nowhere.
The plot, if you can call it that, was nonsense. Convoluted nonsense.

If it wasn't for Scarlett Johansson I would have walked out.

If you want action, watch Die Hard. Iron Man is somewhat lacking. With the exception of the last half an hour or so, there was far far too little.

It goes for almost 40 minutes without so much as an explosion or car being tossed into the air. Daytime TV is more exciting.

Gah.

2012 – Very depressing movie..

Iron Man 2 – Im very disappointed. The end seemed rushed and there were like only 3-4 fights in the movie. Its just a decent movie was the complete opposite of what i expected.

Did you even watch the freakin movie? The plot was actually very good. But hey, it's your opinion. So i wont get anymore amped up.

But yeah it isnt my favorite movie. Avatar still is. It will stay like that probably till Avatar: The last airbender. And some other movie i forgot the name of.
